However, rural women are often seen as falling behind in terms of benefiting from development. Therefore, this study aims to examine the roles of the media, to analyse issues concerning rural women, and to identify themes of rural women’s empowerment in online news reporting. In-depth interviews were conducted with five experts in the women- and media-related field. The study used a content analysis method to examine the themes and paragraphs of articles from two online mainstream newspapers: Berita Harian (BH) and the New Straits Times (NST). The results showed that spreading awareness and motivation, education, decision-making, balanced and fairness, online participation, local organisation, freedom of expression, and newsworthiness are important factors for empowering rural women in online news reporting. Brands are growing part of the workings of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) engaged in international aid and development. From telling and selling, branding has moved to communicating and sharing. In the NGO sector, branding draws attention to the complexities and clashes within NGO identity. This study examines the brand with a virtual team for NGOs. A systematic review of academic literature was done to find these. This review was constructed from the Reporting Standards for Systematic Evidence Synthesis (ROSES) protocol. To conduct this review, 128 articles were collected from three databases, which were chosen from Research Gate, Emerald Insight, and Google Scholar, and then articles were identified, screened, and reviewed. Since the emergence of online newspapers two decades ago, the academia have not really delved into the factors that contribute to improved access and use of online newspapers in developing countries. Hence, this study proposes a conceptual framework which highlights the influence of consumer motivation factors on online newspaper consumption in the current ambiance of digital technology. Furthermore, the study aims to propose factors that contribute to increasing online newspaper consumption. This study will contribute to the body of knowledge as well as the practical field in guiding policy makers and media organizations as to the type of content people are willing to consume. Therefore, the main aims of this article are to analyse the role of Berita Harian (BH) newspaper in reporting on the Malaysian Government Transformation Plan (GTP), and to examine how editors understand and talk about GTP strengths and limitations to the society. The study was conducted in two phases; first, by exploring the frequencies of news articles from May 2010 and June 2013 and second, by examining the contributing factors influencing reporting of the GTP, based on the understanding of readers. In this regard, this research offers a omprehensive analysis of GTP strengths and limitations as reported in BH. The case study focuses on BH news article. Hence, the creation and development of its content is not a one-time effort.The fast speed of technological innovation in the web site design and the increasing competitiveness of the medium require all marketers to continually enhance their web sites.This paper is about the effectiveness of the local women web sites.It aims to study the online strategies being used by Malaysian women-related web sites in order to get involved with the new type of offerings and transactions over the Net.It also aims to study the pattern of different companies whether they achieved the same performance for their E-Commerce.The survey was adapted from Bell and Tang (1998) in order to evaluate the online activities.Results show that some sectors scored higher in certain aspects while some other sectors scored lower.Furthermore, there are companies that still lacked in certain aspects and need improvement.Overall, companies a...

What frames were employed by the newspapers of these two countries in the reporting of Afghanistan attack.For this purpose four newspapers were chosen from Britian and Pakistan namely The Dawn, The Nation, The Independent and The Guardian.The editorilas of these newspapers were analysed by employing the technique of thematic analysis. By analysing the data, it was found that Pakistani and British press mostly framed the coverage of Afghanistan war in a negative stance but at certain points Britsh press adopted positive or neutral stance.Anti war frame was dominnently employed by Pakistani newspapers but humanitrian and rebuilding frames were also observed.Likewise, Britsh press mostly covered Afghanistan under anti war frame but at some points pro war frame was also observed.Overall, it was noted that Pakistani press was more dominated by opposotional and critical themes than British newspapers.

The Elaboration Likelihood Model (ELM) was applied to view the process of decision making among young consumers vis-à-vis of musical content in television advertisement. This article has main points of discussion on issues related to how political survey institutions... more This article has main points of discussion on issues related to how political survey institutions should operate to support democracy in Indonesia. The purpose of the study in this article is to map the ideal operational pattern of political survey institutions to support democracy in Indonesia. By using the literature study method, this article collects various literature sources to draw conclusions from these problems. This article has found that there are various ethical violations in political surveys that have been carried out for some time. The problem relates to the unholy alliance with political consultants, contemporary business models, manipulation and misleading survey results, and survey method techniques. The recommendation from this article is that political pollsters should prioritize integrity, transparency, and accountability over profit. This will certainly be positively correlated with developing democracy in Indonesia.
