The paper describes the analysis of the critical factors about a "coating of pellets" p... more The paper describes the analysis of the critical factors about a "coating of pellets" process using Design Of Experiments, tool able to balance costs and times of the experiments. The goal is the manufacturing optimization with as lower as possible necessary information: on statistical point of view the identification of the most significant factors that influence the roughness of the pellets. The Full Factorial Design is time and cost consuming in this application, so not applicable in reality. The results of this paper showed that through a Fractional Factorial Design is possible to build a very good model able to optimize the non conformities of the examined process, even if we reduced the number of experimental runs.

SOMMARIO Il presente lavoro si propone di sviluppare una metodologia valida per l'ideazione ... more SOMMARIO Il presente lavoro si propone di sviluppare una metodologia valida per l'ideazione e la realizzazione di un prodotto a basso impatto ambientale fin dalle prime fasi della progettazione. Tale scopo è stato raggiunto integrando i principi applicativi delle metodologie di progettazione ecocompatibile o Design for Environment (DfE), quali, in particolare, il Design for Recycling (DfR), Design for Remanufacturing (DfRe) e Design for Disassembly (DfD), con i risultati dell'analisi del ciclo di vita del prodotto LCA (Life-Cycle Assessement). L'integrazione di questi strumenti ha consentito di superare le rispettive limitazioni, in termini di applicabilità, e di migliorare l'efficacia del metodo.
