These are one of the most common mesenchymal1. Approximately, 60% arise in the stomach and 30% arise in the small bowel, the other 10% arise in the oesophagus, colon, rectum, gallbladder, appendix, omentum, mesentry, retroperitoneum and pelvis2.Symptoms can vary upon location, size and growth rate. Due to its location and hence the inability to identify by endoscopy, it is difcult to diagnose. Small lesions usually asymptomatic are incidentally found as a result of imaging, endoscopy, pathologic specimens following surgery for another cause and post mortem3.We reported a case of GIST arising in the jejunum in 61 year female presented with pain in abdomen since 20 days.

Cervical polyp is one of the commonest cervical lesion seen in about 2-5% of women. They are more frequent in parous women and are mostly asymptomatic. Symptomatic polyps are frequent in the premenopausal women with most common clinical presentation of AUB(abnormal uterine bleed). Usually they are benign but there are chances of malignant transformation. This study was done to analyse the clinico-pathological spectrum of cervical polyp at a tertiary care institute Methods: A retrospective study was conducted in department of Pathology, BPS GMC for Women Khanpur Kalan, Sonepat over a period of 5 years. All patients who had been diagnosed with cervical polyp clinically and underwent subsequent histopathological sampling were included. Results: A total of 92 cases were included in the study. AUB was the most common clinical presentation of these patients with cervical polyp. Most comm...

They are usually associated with multiple and familial lesion. Glomangioma as with glomus tumour also presents with hypersensitivity to cold, severe pain and pinpoint tenderness to blunt palpation. Glomus tumours have not been observed in individuals who are less than one year of age (glomus bodies form after that age) or in elderly persons (glomus bodies undergo atrophy and degeneration in elderly persons). Diagnosis is conrmed by histopathological diagnosis but should be differentiated from glomangiosarcoma which shows nuclear atypia and mitotic activity. We here present a case of glomangioma in a 28 years male on right forearm.

Cyclin D1 is a protein playing important role during the G1→S phase transition in the cell cycle. The present study evaluated the expression of Cyclin D1 in normal and hyperplastic endometrium. Methods: A cross sectional study was conducted over a period of 1 year. We evaluated and compared the expression of Cyclin D1 in 56 endometrial samples including 24 cases of simple hyperplasia, 12 cases of complex hyperplasia and 10 cases each of secretory and proliferative endometrium. Results: A substantial increase in expression of Cyclin D1 was seen in hyperplastic endometrium compared to normal endometrium. Moreover, complex hyperplasia showed the maximum positivity for Cyclin D1.Conclusions: Cyclin D1 may play a stimulatory role in the proliferation of endometrial glands and hence may be involved in endometrial tumorigenesis.

This distinct clinical entity poses a diagnostic challenge because of its rapidly progressive and osteolytic nature mimicking malignant lesion. A 16-year-old young female presented to otolaryngology department of our institute with a history of painless swelling in the left nasal cavity and maxillary region.

Burkitt's lymphoma is a rare type of Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. It is classified into three types: Endemic, sporadic and immunodeficiency associated. Endemic type is found in Africa, associated with Epstein-Barr Viral infection. Non-endemic type usually involves mesenteric lymph nodes or ileocecal area and usually presents as an abdominal mass. Primary hepatic Burkitt's lymphoma is a very rare neoplasm. Here, we present the case of a 28-year-old male presenting with right upper quadrant pain and generalized weakness. A core needle biopsy of the liver was performed, which revealed cytologic and immunohistochemical findings compatible with Burkitt's lymphoma.

It occurs more commonly in the anterior mandible compared to the maxilla. Females have 2 to 3 times higher incidence. Children and young adults are affected the most. Materials and methods The present series reviews 10 cases of CGCG suspected on clinical and radiologic basis and confirmed by histopathologic examination. Results The age of 10 cases ranged from 7 to 32 years (mean age 19.8); there were six females and four males; six had lesion in the lower jaw and the remaining four in the upper jaw. After radiologic evaluation, the treatment involved surgical curettage which was subjected to histopathologic examination and diagnosed as CGCG. Conclusions CGCG is diagnosed by a combination of clinical and radiologic findings and confirmed by histopathology. The condition needs to be distinguished from other giant cell containing lesions. The early and precise diagnosis of CGCG allows ...
