Results of these two are seen across the globe. Somewhere it is incessant cloudburst raining, somewhere there is unexpected drought; an exorbitant amount of cold, an inordinate amount of heat is now virtually the order of the day, by which we may say that natural calamity is the rule. Consequently, food and habitat are facing the threat, disease and destruction are hovering, and intolerance is widespread and growing. Africa, Asia, Europe, America – everywhere the same picture. Religious conflict, ethnic violence, fundamental fanaticisms are leading to hapless murder, arson, and violence. Amidst that gloominess, peace-loving forces, eco-soldiers are working also. They are harvesting hope in community after community. We are the peacemakers as many others. We possess a beautiful weapon, the weapon that dissolves intolerance into the vast compassionate creation, the weapon that soothes the carbon-warming into the wide lovable earth. The weapon that works without any bloodshed and that wins surely and slowly. That weapon is tree, planting trees in communities after communities and, oh, I forgot to talk about, that tree is being spread around in waste bin also. That is, wastage is being converted into an asset. We are presenting two essays. First one is my preparation, preparing to be a gardener, to become one sagacious farmer – how that journey commenced – the history is the narration. And the second one is a photo-essay. There I put photos with little bit narration. The making of such garden utilizing kitchen-wastes and coco-peat (as a base material) is the story material. Now we can verbalize that a garden is possible of any size, which could fit in any desirable space as you like. We may now say that any space is a garden-space and we can travel over toward zero waste. Greet the sun with manageable soil-space – your garden is ready. Share that splendidness to your community, neighbor. Nurture that weapon and that will simultaneously reduce our carbon-footprint as well as our hatred toward each other. A garden denotes food and shelter – share those, gradually mutual dependence will ascertain.

Only with the help of few easy but critical steps one can uplift one’s true self. And that uplifted self can do much good to the society. By keeping this idea in mind, we present a life-style work pattern. Any person or community can think from this perspective and can create a new path.
