The habitat of flies in dirty and damp areas causes flies to be included as mechanical vectors. Unfortunately, few people know about the dangers of flies to food security and safety. The type of research used is qualitative. The instrument for obtaining data is filling out a questionnaire. Data processing uses the Microsoft Excel application. The number of people involved was 50 people. The largest age and education range is 41-50 years (18 people) and high school graduates (22 people). The questions in the questionnaire contained questions about fly habitat, the role of flies, types of flies, the dangers of flies to health, and prevention and control of flies. Before the socialization was carried out, 29 people did not know the habitat of flies, 41 people already knew a little about the role of flies, 48 people did not know the types of flies that suck blood from both males and females, 24 people did not know the dangers of flies, and 45 people did not know about the prevention and control of flies. After socialization, all respondents knew the habitat, role, types of flies, the dangers of flies to health, as well as measures to prevent and control flies. After the socialization is complete, the public will understand the concept of food safety and security, the types of flies in the environment, the bacteria carried by flies, the health problems they cause, as well as measures to control and prevent flies.
