The researcher selected seven personal factors (gender, age, nationality, program-time of study, academic trimester, grade point average (GPA), and work experience) to study the differences in their perceptions of Five Key Behaviors contributing to effective teaching (lesson clarity, instructional variety, task orientation, engagement in learning process, and student success). A total of 307 responses consisting of 131 MBA Day program and 176 MBA Evening program students were collected. The responses ranked important teaching characteristics as student success, lesson clarity, task orientation, instructional variety, and engagement in learning process, respectively. Through Independent T-Test analysis and ANOVA, it was found that age, GPA, and work experience showed no difference in students’ perceptions of effective teaching characteristics. On the other hand, gender, nationality, program-time of study, and academic trimester showed significant differences in students’ perceptions of effective teaching characteristics.

The population of study consisted of 50 luxury hotels, with 17 five-star and 33 four-star hotels throughout Thailand. The quantitative data are collected from 240 hotel employees in four departments, namely Front-office department, Back-office department, Guest-related department and Restaurant and Banquet department utilizing questionnaires as a research tool. Independent variables consisted of informant personal data and general information, and department details, while the only dependent variable was the effect of IT on employees' perceived productivity. The results of study show that hotel employees perceived IT overall productivity as neutral. Although employees believe that IT is reliable and has up-to-date technology that can facilitate their daily tasks, the perceived high cost of IT system, as well as the job security concern of not being able to keep up with IT innovation, lower the overall perception or worthiness of IT. The results suggest that no clear comparative advantages or disadvantages of IT applications have been perceived.

This phenomenon has already had devastating impacts in SE Asia, and Thailand, in particular, which is experiencing heat waves, flooding, tropical cyclones and rising sea levels, among others. Aims: This exploratory study examined differences between two generations, X and Y Thai consumers, in terms of their awareness and mitigating behavior towards climate change. These two generations were chosen as they account for the two largest segments, approximately 55 percent of the Thai population. Sample: A total of 421 respondents (201 Generation X and 220 Generation Y) was selected for the study, using purposive sampling. Methodology: Descriptive statistics were used to analyse the data obtained via self-administered questionnaires. The four hypotheses posited in this study were tested by independent samples t-test. Results: The findings revealed significant differences in environmental ...

Plastic is found in many of our day-to-day products and even though plastic has several useful applications, plastic waste has a detrimental impact on the environment and is life-threatening to humans, animals, and many marine species. The main aim of this exploratory study is to investigate the influence of internal (environmental knowledge and concern), and external factors (interpersonal influence and media) on Gen Y Thai consumers' environmental attitude and behavior relating to plastic pollution. Gen Y consumers are the focus of this study because they account for nearly a third of Thailand's population with high income and spending potential. A total of 550 questionnaires were distributed to Gen Y consumers in 7 areas in the Central Business District of Bangkok, of which 396 were considered valid and used for the analysis. Three hypotheses posited in the study were tested using Simple Regression analysis. The ...

There have been recurrent cases of pesticide residues on fresh food and also the use of large number of additives in processed foods. Overall, organic food has been perceived as chemical-free and healthier by consumers. This paper integrates the findings of extant studies on organic food in the world context. It identifies themes that lead to the purchase of organic food and also discusses personal determinants of purchasers of organic food in terms of socio-demographics, motivations, attitudes, and values related to such purchases. The paper concludes by outlining barriers toward purchase of organic food and offers implications and suggestions for marketing practitioners, organic food growers and retailers.
