During the COVID-19 pandemic, this was fundamental and its compliance was supported by governmental and non-governmental institutions. Nevertheless, the situation of political polarization in some countries with decentralized health systems increased the difficulty of such interventions. This study analyzes the association between non-pharmaceutical interventions’ compliance and individual perception regarding institutions’ performance during the COVID-19 pandemic in Brazil. A web survey was conducted in Brazil between November 2020 and February 2021. Bivariate analysis and ordered logit regressions were performed to assess the association between NPIs compliance and perceived institutions’ performance. Results suggest a negative association between NPIs’ compliance and Federal Government and Ministry of health perceived performance, which m...

However, among the 27 states of the federation, only two have a political agenda of “Inductors Destinations (ID)”: Minas Gerais and Bahia. Several papers related tourism and development, but none investigates the State level. Therefore, we established two main purposes: (1) compare the socioeconomic indicator (FIDM) between inducing and non-inducing cities, and; (2) analyze political governance ID in both States. It was demonstrated: ID has higher socioeconomic development; the Minas Gerais Program is more technical-scientific and the Bahia Project is more informative.O Plano Nacional de Turismo do Brasil indica a descentralização de práticas governamentais da União para os Estados. In Brazil, an important institutional advance in this direction was the enactment in 1997 of Law no. 9433, known as the Water Resources Law or the Water Law. This law acknowledges water as public property with economic value using the Basin Committee as an instrument to reconcile and adjust uses. This committee promotes decentralization of management while considering the local situation and involving a larger number of actors and social organizations. In this context, the objective of this paper is to discuss the main definitions of Law no. 9433, regarding issues of sustainable development, participation and decentralization of decision making in the public sector. An exploratory study was conducted by a review of pertinent literature and an assessment of the experience in the state of São Paulo. Analysis indicates that t...
