Due to the noticeable increase of cashless and contactless transactions during Covid19, the usage of e-wallet has been increasing tremendously. However, to align with the government's intention to reach the cashless society and contactless payment, a small spread acceptance among individuals, especially the low-income community or B40, makes it very difficult to realize the efforts of the government. Thus, this research will help in creating a new model for the government to use as a guideline to achieve a high level of acceptance of e-wallet usage among B40 even when they are facing financial difficulty.

Financial technology innovation offers advancements to the financial industry and consumers that make their transactions less complex and more convenient. E-wallet is a great platform that will have a favorable impact on the economy and the nation's social fabric to achieve the government's goal of becoming a cashless society, contactless payment, digital economy, and in line with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 9). Covid-19 has expedited the usage of digital payments, and the move to contactless transactions has highlighted inequities. The level of consumer acceptance of e-wallet for the low-income group in Malaysia is still low. To realize the inspiration of a cashless nation and sustainable development, therefore, the study aims to identify the factors affecting electronic wallet acceptance among the Malaysian low-income group in Melaka. Three determinants are identified which are as follows: Perceived Usefulness (PU), Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), and Social Influences. Questionnaires were distributed to the 109 respondents (employees and students in Universiti Teknologi MARA, Melaka) using an online survey platform. The data obtained were analyzed using SPSS v26 which involves frequency analysis, descriptive analysis, reliability tests, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression analysis. Based on the findings, Social Influences (SI) are discovered to have a substantial impact on e-wallet acceptance. The study's findings will be of interest in insisting the government establish the cashless society and helps to improve the financial technology infrastructure that guides to the successful implementation of SDG9.

A systematic literature review (SLR) of peer-reviewed journal articles was carried out by the researchers, based on two major databases, namely, Scopus and Web of Science. In total, 60 articles published from January 2017 to April 2021 were reviewed which revealed the research gaps. Several research gaps are identified in the literature and practicality. The article offers suggestions for future research, including how to prioritize understudied subjects and incorporate other points of view. As a result, this study offers new researchers to learn more about the rapidly growing acceptance of e-wallets. Future research can also address these gaps and enhance the level of acceptance for e-wallets globally for a sustainable future. By identifying the factors that influence people's decision to accept e-wallets, researchers can help companies design better services and marketing campaigns. This will require some practical and theoretical implications, primarily demonstrating some nourishment in realizing the cashless society vision.

This study uses the time series data in identifying the economic growth determinants in Malaysia. The Multiple Linear Regression (MLR) is used to establish the relationship between government expenditure which are education expenditure, health expenditure, defense and security expenditure, and social services expenditure towards the economic growth in Malaysia. The findings for this study indicate all the independent variables have a significant relationship towards economic growth in Malaysia where the health expenditure is the most influenced government expenditure component towards the economic growth in Malaysia. These findings may give some overview of policy implications to the policymakers on optimising the effects of government expenditure on economic development.
