Here we report a case of isolated tuberculous liver abscess in an immunocompetent patient.

We used 14 years of repeated cross-sectional data that consists of seven consecutive NHANES cycles from 2003-04 to 2015-16 (N = 9497). SRH was measured using a 5-point Likert scale, and SES was measured by Family Income to Poverty Ratio (FMPIR), levels of education, and employment status. Blood concentration of lead, mercury, and cadmium, and urinary concentrations of ten heavy metals (arsenic, barium, cadmium, cesium, cobalt, lead, mercury, molybdenum, thallium, tungsten) were used as metal mixtures. The total effects of SES on SRH were examined by linear regression. The direct effects of SES on metal mixtures were examined by weighted quantile sum (WQS) regression with Repeated Holdout Validation method, and causal mediation effect of mixtures was examined ...

The test, in its simplest form, consists of placing the formulation in a dissolution apparatus containing suitable dissolution medium, allowing it to dissolve over a specified period of time and then assaying the resultant solution using appropriate analytical method to determine the amount of drug. Dissolution tests are relevant for an array of investigations like drug degradation profiles, stability and shelf life studies, physical and mechanical testing of dosage forms, incoming QC testing on raw materials etc. The present review outlines the recent findings on various dissolution apparatuses, their modifications, methods for degassing of media like Helium sparging, Heating and filtering, Vacuum degassing, sonication and dissolution testing of various dosage forms like Immediate Release (IR) Dosage forms, Delayed Release Dosage Forms, Extended Release Dosage ...

As the antenna plays a vital role in wireless communication, the need to design antennas which will provide better performance and more reliable communication is growing. In this thesis, innovative designs for antennas with wideband characteristic have been proposed to meet the demands of current multi-functional wireless communication systems. First, this thesis explores the design of a wideband pattern reconfigurable antenna with steady realized gain over the operating bandwidth. Another novel design of this thesis work is a highly directive wideband Yagi antenna. Finally, a two-planar structured CPLPDA antenna is designed to overcome the currently existing three-planar structured CPLPDA antenna’s complex design and fabrication process. The FGLSpanel data analysis reveals that determinants assumed under pecking order theoryhave dominating influence on leverage in Bangladesh and short term debt is preferredto long term debt as a source of financing. The implication of this study under transitional economic and infrastructuraloutset profitable firm should finance its project through internally generated fundswithout changing present situation rather availing greater debt capacity as wellas without changing its control scenario. If there is lack of available internalfunds (retained earnings), firm’s manager should be prudent enough to decide rightchoices for financing at that time without inclining to any specific one (only debtor only new stock). Keywords: Capital Structure, Pecking order theory, FGLS.

SAARC countries produce GDP (PPP) US$ 9.9 trillion and GDP (Nominal) US$ 2.9 trillion and constitute 9.12% of global economy as of 2015. The mentioned two countries from this region are selected due to their importance in the SAARC region and their challenges during last few decades i.e. Political crisis and natural disasters. In this study the multivariate unobserved components model is used to decompose the GDP and HCE and examine the relationships between these two variables of Nepal and Pakistan. The time period of this study is 1970-2014 and Kushnirs statistical data is employed. The maximum likelihood smoother is employed in the trend plus stochastic cycle methodology of Koopman et al. (2009) to estimate the model. ...

Anthropometric measurements and fasting blood glucose samples were taken as part of the survey. Prevalence estimates of diabetes and prediabetes were age-standardized with direct standardization, and risk factors were identified using multilevel mix-effects Poisson regression models with robust variance.ResultsThe overall age-standardised prevalence of diabetes was 9.2% (95%CI 8.7-9.7) (men: 8.8%, women: 9.6%), and prediabetes was 13.3% (95%CI 12.7-13.9) (men: 13.0%, women: 13.6%). Among people with diabetes, 61.5% were unaware that they had the condition. 35.2% were taking treatment regularly, and only 30.4% of them had controlled diabetes. Factors associ...

Empirical data from Bureau van Dijk, Amadeus database were analysed from the point of both time-series and cross-sectional analysis. The main findings of the paper are that correlation within selected liquidity ratios is fairly strong while correlation between selected liquidity ratios and selected profitability ratio is relatively weak.
