anthropomorphic representations of Sardinian prehistory through a critical analysis of material culture. Actually, recent studies have shown how complex the phenomenon is, highlighting that the human figurines don’t have an univocal interpretation. The issue requires a non-typological approach based on the analysis of the features of the artefacts and on the archeological context. The archaeological discovery of 2 human figurines in the domus de janas n. 12 of the Cannas di Sotto necropolis in Carbonia can contribute to a better understanding of the meaning of anthropomorphic figurines.
