This document defines the various processes between an ebXML capable party and the ebXML Registry. It is assumed that all interactions between the party and the ebXML registry will be conducted using ebXML Messaging Service. 28 29 30 31 32 33 34

We describe an effort to address the issue by advancing message standards development and use methods. The new effort relies on business process model life-cycle management, which is essential for context definition of message standards usage. Context is essential as it describes the intent for the message standards usage in a specific systems integration case. We report results of a preliminary assessment of the approach for an industry use case.

In the literature, there are multiple techniques for its representation and application. Industry use cases have identified multiple issues that come with currently used techniques, which can represent that context. Initial assessment of a logic-based technique for doing so has been conducted and showed that some of the identified issues can be resolved. This paper presents plan for validation of the logic-based technique where proposed algorithms will be assessed in realistic integration scenarios. The paper gives details of the validation steps, goals that need to be met, and indicates issues that guide our future research plans.

With this paper, we start to explore the state of art and practice in business process catalog and classification scheme (BPCCS) development and use for the manufacturing industry. More specifically, this paper includes two major contributions. First, we identify a set of initial requirements for BPCCS. Second, we provide a use-case analysis based on the identified requirements. We end by comparing our BPCCS requirements with those being developed across other, BPCCS R&D groups.

In this paper, we propose a business process catalog to support that role. Such a catalog can facilitate adaptation of business process models. We validate life-cycle management requirements for such a catalog and propose capabilities the catalog must have to address these requirements. We analyze related work in academia and industry as a basis for synthesizing a meta-model and a conceptual architecture for the catalog. We conclude that contextual information for business process models is a critical part of such a catalog and where the CMfg community can contribute new and valuable results.
