Taguchi technique of optimization is used to select different parameter. The experimental work is carried out on hardened Die-Steel H-13. The processing of the job was done by solid carbide four flute end-mill tool under finishing conditions to calculate different variables and their levels. L-9 standard orthogonal array is used for calculation of number of variables and number of levels. Signal to Noise Ratio is used to calculate the significant parameter where as ANOVA F-Test is carried out to determine the percentage effect of each parameter.

The main objective of manufacturing industries today is to increase productivity through system simplification and incremental improvements by using modern available quality techniques like Statistical Quality Control (SQC ) Tools. In this paper we used some important quality tools (Statistical Quality Control Tools) and examine the change in result after considering and find out the factors which are responsible for maximum rejection. For completeness, some better alternatives to previously proposed procedures are also provided for the case where the process parameters are assumed known in advance of productionIn the light of the above mentioned facts problem solving techniques gain an increased importance in context of Indian industries Method has become an important approach in order to produce quality products and reduced rejection ration Thi...

This paper presents the influence of welding parameters like welding current, welding voltage, Gas flow rate, wire feed rate, etc. on weld strength, design and fabrication of MIG welding fixtures. The objective of this thesis is to develop welding fixtures that able to clamp workpiece and reduce the rejection ratio in production. Clamping design and common welding jigs material was studied in order to design and generate concept for the MIG welding jigs. Solid Works was used to design or draw the final concept of the MIG welding jigs. On the other hand, screw clamp was used to design clamping system for the welding jigs. The welding jigs were design in such an order that it able to adjust the gap between workpiece and give out the gap measurement so that the time taken for the welding research can be reduced. Methods and process involve in accomplish this is the machini...

In the present study a modest attempt has been made to develop aluminium based silicon carbide particulate MMCs with an objective to develop a conventional low cast method of producing MMCs and to obtain homogeneous dispersion of ceramic material. To achieve this objective stir casting technique has been adopted. Aluminium 6061 (97.06% C.P) and SiC, Fly Ash has been chosen as matrix and reinforcement material respectively. Experiment has been conducted by varying weight fraction of SiC (7.5%, 10%) while keeping all other parameters constant. The result indicated that the developed method is quite successful and there is an increase in the value of tensile strength, hardness and toughness with increase in weight percentage of SiC.

But this assumption proved wrong as electronic products contain lead, mercury, chromium, beryllium and other harmful materials which cause kidney failure, cancer and serious damage to lungs etc. That’s why it becomes very necessary to think for the management of e-waste. These days most of the electronic waste is managed by informal channel in India. Formal collection channel is totally absent in India. Scrap dealer collect the electronic waste from the house, organizations etc. Scrap dealers itself manage the e-waste or sold it to someone else. As it contains hazardous materials, attention must be paid for proper disposal of electronic waste. Because India has second highest population in the world, sales of electronics items like mobile phones, PC/laptops and other electronic items is quite higher as...

It is also known as e-scrap. It is very important to know that how we are treating e-waste in India as it causes some serious health hazards to human beings. It is also very essential to study what policies we are using for managing e-waste in India. People in India are not aware about the negative effects of e-waste on human health; that is why they are also unaware of the e-waste management concept. We, as Indian store their abandoned electronic products at their homes. By doing so, we are directly ignoring our health as hazardous gases are released from this discarded electronics equipment which cause cancer, liver problems and other serious health hazards. Here in this paper we study e-waste management policies of various developed countries. We consider Europe, USA, United Kingdom, Japan and Germany as developed countries here. We also study the e-waste management policies for India also. This c...

Along with this, it becomes easier to buy any electronic product right now as compared to previous years. There are many channels (Online & Offline) available in the market to buy your desired products. Nowadays it becomes a trend: to buy new electronic products to use the latest available technology. People prefer to buy new product instead of upgrading the old product. Mobiles and laptops are the most common products which are bought frequently instead of to upgrade. Expanding usage of the mobiles, computers/laptops, and LCD/LED in all the sectors inflicting dramatically increase in generation of e-waste. E-waste is more dangerous than any other kind of solid waste. It is very important to know all about the e-waste before declaring it as health and environmental disaster. E-waste is the term used for old, end of life and discarded electronics appliances which are currently not in use. E-waste has both hazardous and valuable materials. Hazardous materials are lead, mercury, cadmium etc. On the other side, valuable materials are gold, silver, aluminium, plastics etc. The quantity of the valuable materials is very less as compared to the hazardous materials. In India, due to lack of formal reverse supply chain or formal collection channels, the e-waste is not managed properly. In this paper, various stakeholders are identified which play a vital role in making e-waste a health and environmental disaster. To understand the impor...
