The nanoparticles have variable properties and a high specific surface (Cp) area, which enhance heat exchange between fluids and their particles at different volume concentrations. This article provides the outcomes of an experimental study on the overall heat transfer coefficient (Uo) and effectiveness ( ε) of the shell and tube heat exchanger (STHE) with a 25% baffle cut using Al2O3 nanofluid consisting of base fluid distilled water (DW) and Al2O3 nanoparticles at 0.05%, 0.1%, and 0.2% of volume concentrations. Using a two-step method and adding a weight fraction of 0.1% sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate (SDBS) as a surface active agent to each volume concentration of nanofluid provides better stability. The thermophysical properties like density (ρ), thermal conductivity (k), and dynamic viscosity ( μ) of the Al2O3-DW nanofluid increased, but Cp of the...

This article is an experimental study on the effectiveness and overall heat transfer coefficient in STHE (shell and tube heat exchanger), comprising baffle cut 25% with a nanofluid at 0.05, 0.1, and 0.2 percentage concentrations of CuO nanoparticles in the DW (distilled water) base-fluid. The inclusion of 0.15% SDBS (Sodium dodecyl-benzene sulphonate) by a two-step method as a surfactant improves the stability of dispersed CuO nanoparticles. The CuO/DW nanofluid thermo-physical properties such as thermal conductivity (k), density (ρ), and dynamic viscosity (μ), have increased. However, the nanofluid's specific heat (Cp) reduces as the nanoparticles proportion rises in the DW base fluid. There is...

The threat to individual privacy through data mining is able to infer sensitive information from Non-sensitive information or unclassified data. There is a n urgent need to be able to infer some mechanism to avoid the projection of all the sensitive information .An approach in data mining techniques is very much essential. Alteration of data, filtering of the data, blocking of the data are Some of the approaches. Given specific rules to be hidden, the techniques involve is to hide only the given sensitive data. In this work we assume that only sensitive datais given and we analyze the approaches to secure sensitive data in the database. A key problem, and still not sufficiently investigated, is the need to balance the confidentiality of the disclosed data with the legitimate needs of the...

But at a certain point, the battery size and its weight create an obstacle. To overcome this ‘paper battery’ present the ultimate solution. The paper battery is literally a conducting paper with a lot of power packed into it.The the various problems faced by the commonly used batteries and how the paper battery offers the solution to all these problems. A detailed construction of paper battery is explained in this paper. A comparison of SWCNT and MWCNT is also shown in this paper. This paper also contains the possible applications which could change our lives. The safety issues of Li-ion batteries, the limitations of NiCad & NiMH and the drawbacks of lead acid battery are discussed in this paper. The advantage of paper battery over these batteries is also described.

Deduplication is most efficacious when multiple users outsource the same data to the cloud storage, but it raises issues relating to security and ownership. Proof of- ownership schemes sanction any owner of the same data to prove to the cloud storage server that he owns the data in a robust way. However, many users are liable to encrypt their data afore outsourcing them to the cloud storage to preserve privacy, but this hampers Deduplication because of the randomization property of encryption. Recently, several Deduplication schemes have been proposed to solve this quandary by sanctioning each owner to apportion the same encryption key for the same data. However, most of the schemes suffer from security imperfections, since they do not consider the dynamic vicissi...

The two main concepts used in the online reviews are sentiment analysis and exploratory data analysis (EDA). The goal of sentimental analysis is to determine whether the given data is positive, negative or neutral. It can help brands to determine how their product is perceived by their clientele. Sentiment analysis, otherwise known as opinion mining, works thanks to natural language processing and machine learning algorithms, to automatically determine the emotional tone behind online conversations. Sentiment analysis mainly relies on the keywords. The overall analysis is made on the data that has been reviewed on Zomato. Most restaurants available on the applications are established ones, hence we get a good idea regarding the restaurants of Hyderabad. Exploratory data analysis (EDA) is a term for certain kinds of initial analysis and findings done with data sets, usually early in an analytical process.

Hence, in our present study, we have isolated the extract of Cassia uniflora and isolated some important constituents using various solvents among which methanolic extract was optimal. The isolated compounds were also characterized by mass and IR spectroscopy. The extract was further checked for anti-oxidant as well as anti-diabetic activity. From the results obtained, the leaves and fruit extract were found to have good alpha-glucosidase as well as 5-lipoxygenase inhibition.

This is an old application related to the area of pattern recognition. Handwritten character recognition (HCR) can be classified into two types namely, Online and Offline. As per the literature survey, there are no standard databases for HCR [1] [2] [3] since there are very less number of speakers for any Indian language compared to English. Hence, the database of Indian scripts both for testing and training are to be developed in the laboratory environment. The recognition accuracy for printed / typed characters is more than 99 percent, whereas for the HCR it is around 60 percent. Hence the area of HCR is an open area of research. HCR for Indian languages is at nascent stage compared to English since they contain alphabets and also matra’s / sandhi are complex which make the recognition tougher. The freedom of the scriber in writing the script is also another challenge for achieving the bet...

It has been suggested that caveolin-1 (Cav-1) may contribute to certain steps of carcinogenesis. In the present study we focused on its potential clinical relevance in mammary malignancies. We investigated 130 breast cancer samples along with adjacent normal tissues using allele specific PCR for the mutation status and then conventional PCR-SSCP and sequencing of mutated samples along with the normal adjacent tissues. Caveolin-1 was identified in a screen for genes involved in breast cancer progression and we demonstrated 29.2% mutational status in our Kashmiri ethnic population. We were able to detect 38 mutations out of which 22 were missense, 4 were nonsense, and 12 were frame shifts amongst these 38 we were also able to detect ten novel Cav-1 mutations (missense and frameshift mutations). We conclude that our study suggests that the gene encoding Cav-1 plays an important role in ...

Both genetic and epigenetic alterations in FHIT have been implicated in breast carcinoma. In the present study, our main aim was to study the impact of these two kinds of alterations of FHIT gene in breast cancer patients of Kashmir. We screened a total of 130 breast cancer patients of Kashmir by PCR-SSCP followed by direct sequencing and methylation specific PCR. Mutational screening of FHIT gene revealed significant amount of mutations [40.7% (53/130)] in five hot spot exons (exon 5-9), FHIT promoter was found to be hypermethylated in 59 of 130 [45.3%] breast cancer patients in our population. In the present study we have shown a significant association between the mutational and hypermethylation profile of FHIT gene. Hence, we provide the first evidence to our knowledge that the significant association of FHIT mutation and hypermethylation leads to the complete inactivation of FHIT gene in patients with breast cancer. Silencing of the FHIT gene by promoter hypermethylation occurs in breast carcinomas, especially those with the significant amount of mutations.
