A phytochemical extract from radish white peel extract improved the electrocatalytic performance of nickel–cobalt bimetallic oxide (NiCo2O4) during a hydrothermal process through abundant surface holes of oxides, an alteration of morphology, an excellent crystal quality, and increased Co(III) and Ni(II) chemical states. The surface structure, morphology, crystalline quality, and chemical composition were determined using a variety of analytical techniques, including powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The electrochemical characterization by CV revealed a linear range of UA from 0.1 mM to 8 mM, with a detection limit of 0.005 mM and a limit of quantification (LOQ) of 0.008 mM. A study of the sen...

Both drugs belong to the most frequently used Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) group. The specified pharmaceuticals were extracted from the wastewater and tap water samples by Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) method using Waters Oasis hydrophilic lipophilic balance (HLB) cartridges. Liquid Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) technique was applied for the detection and quantification of selected drugs. Negative Electron Spray Ionization (ESI) was used along with Multi Reaction Monitoring (MRM) mode. Pharmaceuticals concentration were found 7.38-827 μg/L and 5.47-328.95 μg/L in waste and tap water samples, respectively. The results obtained are comparable with the data reported in literature. Human health risk assessment caused by acetylsalicylic acid and naproxe...
Ciprofloxacin HCl, 1-Cyclopropyl-6-fluoro-4-oxo-7-(piperazin1-yl)-1,4-dihydroquinoline-3-carboxyl... more Ciprofloxacin HCl, 1-Cyclopropyl-6-fluoro-4-oxo-7-(piperazin1-yl)-1,4-dihydroquinoline-3-carboxylic acid, is a synthetic broad antibacterial compound belonging to the group of fluoroquinolones which is antimicrobial drug act through the inhibition of DNA-gyrase, an enzyme that is critical to bacterial chromosome replication. It is used in a wide range of infections of the urinary, respiratory and gastrointestinal tracts, as well as in skin structure and ocular infections. Levofloxacin Hemihydrate is a fluoroquinolone, has a broad-spectrum antibiotic activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and used in respiratory and urinary tract infections. Various Pakistani branded antibiotic drug samples containing Ciprofloxacin HCl and Levofloxacin Hemihydrate were collected from local market and their working standards from the material suppliers of Karachi city. Samples were analyzed by using UV-Vis spectrophotometer. Then the method was validated by linearity, accuracy, prec...

These properties are related to their behavior in electrical field, behavior under heat treatment, response to different electromagnetic radiations and their biological properties etc. Among the nanoparticles, silver nano particles exhibited excellent behavior towards electrical, magnetic as well as health care properties (Zhang et al., 2016; Bibi et al., 2017). As silver nano particles have excellent bactericidal effects and can retard the growth of bacteria as well as fungi. They heal up speedily wounds related to microbial infections. Due to their extraordinary medicinal effects, silver nano particles have tremendous application in medical devices, such as incorporated into bandages and medicines available commercially for...

Study Design:The ophiolitic rocks of the study area upon weathering, contributed a large amount of certain trace elements to the groundwater. Samples of grou ndwater were collected and analyzed for trace elements. Place and Duration of Study:The study arealaysin the southern extremity of 450km long Bela Ophiolite, Balochistan, Pakistan. The work was carried out during 2011 -2012. Methodology: Sample collection and estimation of physical properties and chemical composition of water were carried out using standard procedures. The concentrations of trace elements were estimated by using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer. Results:The trace elements concentratio n in the groundwater were found in the range of 8-800 for Zn, 14-107 for Cu, 13-103 for Cr, 32-1814 for Fe, 15-102 for Mn, 01-430 for Ni, 01-28 for Co, 16-139 for Pb and 1 -30mg/kg for Cd.

Wittig reaction was used for the preparation of first two compounds and third one by Knoevehagel condensation. Their mass was calculated by APCI mass spectra which are in good agreement with theoretical data. UV-Vis data indicate the cross- conjugation in these systems due to the push-pull intra molecular charge transfer (CIT) sequence from electron donor to acceptor group. The 1H-NMR signals appear in aromatic region confirming the formation of trans (having π- structures) isomers rather than cis may be due to the exposure of the compounds to ambient light. The dominating roll of electron acceptor nitro, methoxy and cyno benzene groups in conjugation is clearly shown. The 13CNMR spectra which also supported the above analytical data and the number of carbons atoms obtained representing well the structures established.

Assorted parameters like temperature, pH, EC, TDS, Cl - , SO4 2- , HCO3 - , sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, SAR values as well as the Piper and Stiff diagrams wer e d et er m i n ed t o confer a cl ear picture of quality parameters in gr ound water an d a gr i cul t ur e soi l of the area. The present investigations conclude that the maximum parameters are not at the level of pollution except major metal ions Na + and Ca 2+ . The higher concentration of Ca 2+ and Na + could be due to the deposits of the salts of these elements into soil, which may had leached into ground water. The Piper diagram suggest that composition of water is (Na + +K + )-(Ca 2+ +Mg 2+ )-HCO3 - -(Cl - +SO4 2- )-type. The areal distribution of stiff diagram constructed for groundwater samples showed ionic balances, indicati...
