A total of 32 cases of hydatidiform moles, problem cases, and hydropic abortuses were collected to study the morphology and the expression of p57KIP2, CD31. Two cases were analyzed the genotype with FISH method. Of the 32 cases, 24 were in early pregnancy stage and 8 in middle pregnancy stage. After validation study, all of the cases were subclassfied into four groups: complete hydatidiform mole (17 cases), partial hydatidiform mole (6 cases), abnormal villous morphology (4 cases) and hydropic abortus (5 cases). (1) The hydrops and central cistern formation were present but not marked in 25% (3/12) early complete hydatidiform moles. All of the cases of complete hydatidiform moles in early pregnancy stage consisted of trophoblastic hyperplasia but with mild nuclear pleomorphism in 75% cases. (2) P57KIP2 negative expression was significantly related with the morphology changes of early CHMs (Pearson correlation: 0.001 and 0.003, P<0.05). (3)The misdiagnosis rate and missing error rate of partial hydatidiform mole and abnormal villous morphology were higher than those of complete hydatidiform mole and hydropic abortus groups, but there was no statistical significance (partial hydatidiform mole 30%, 50%; abnormal villous morphology 75%, 75%; complete hydatidiform mole 15.4%, 35.3%; hydropic abortus 20%, 20%, P>0.05). (4) The genotyping analysis by fluorescence in situ hybridization method could provide support and might be generally performed in research settings. Immature blood vessels and excessive stromal karyorrhexis and apoptosis are characteristic features in early complete hydatidiform mole. p57KIP2 is a useful marker in diagnosis of complete hydatidiform mole in early pregnancy stage. The ancillary techniques will facilitate the diagnosis in cases of partial hydatidiform mole/abnormal villous morphology where histological features are usually inconclusive.

Recently, the problem of how to integrate BT strategies into CA has attracted much attention from both industry and academia. However, to our best knowledge, few research works have been published to provide BT solutions in CA. In this paper, we propose a new notion of relevance between webpages and ads based on users' online click-through behaviors from BT's perspective. Compared with the classical behavior targeting method where only users' history interests are considered, we pay more attention to the click probability of ads from a webpage where the relevance between them is evaluated. Moreover, a combination model integrating behavioral relevance and contextual relevance for matching ads and webpags is presented. The model parameters are learnt from a dataset consisting of 200 webpages and 35,880 ads. Experimental results show that our integrated strategy indeed outperforms the strategies that only consider either behavioral relevance or contextual relevance. The best model achieves a 18.1% improvement in precision over single strategies.

Polynomial geometry is based on the hexagonal geometry (HG) and multicentered double-density (MD) mode. The overlapping sensitivity matrix, area ratio (AR), reconstruction image, two-absorber model, and contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR) in different depths are used to evaluate the performance of PG. The other three geometries including HG, rectangular geometry (RG), and MD mode are also compared with PG. The deformation of the reconstruction images is evaluted by circular ratio (CR). The results prove that the proposed PG has high performance and minimum deformation in quality of reconstruction image in rDOI.

The nitrogen uptake and utilization efficiency of 22 barley cultivars were investigated, and the characteristics of dry matter production and nitrogen accumulation in barley were analyzed. The results showed that nitrogen uptake and utilization efficiency were different for barley under two nitrogen levels. The maximal values of grain yield, nitrogen utilization efficiency for grain and nitrogen harvest index were 2.87, 2.91 and 2.47 times as those of the lowest under the low nitrogen treatment. Grain yield and nitrogen utilization efficiency for grain and nitrogen harvest index of barley genotype with high nitrogen utilization efficiency were significantly greater than low nitrogen utilization efficiency, and the parameters of high nitrogen utilization efficiency genotype were 82.1%, 61.5% and 50.5% higher than low nitrogen utilization efficiency genotype under the low nitrogen treatment. Dry matter mass and nitrogen utilization of high nitrogen utilization efficiency was significantly higher than those of low nitrogen utilization efficiency. A peak of dry matter mass of high nitrogen utilization efficiency occurred during jointing to heading stage, while that of nitrogen accumulation appeared before jointing. Under the low nitrogen treatment, dry matter mass of DH61 and DH121+ was 34.4% and 38.3%, and nitrogen accumulation was 54. 8% and 58.0% higher than DH80, respectively. Dry matter mass and nitrogen accumulation seriously affected yield before jointing stage, and the contribution rates were 47.9% and 54.7% respectively under the low nitrogen treatment. The effect of dry matter and nitrogen accumulation on nitrogen utilization efficiency for grain was the largest during heading to mature stages, followed by sowing to jointing stages, with the contribution rate being 29.5% and 48.7%, 29.0% and 15.8%, respectively. In conclusion, barley genotype with high nitrogen utilization efficiency had a strong ability of dry matter production and nitrogen accumulation. It could synergistically improve yield and nitrogen utilization efficiency by enhancing the ability of nitrogen uptake and dry matter formation before jointing stage in barley.

IR spectra of PVME solution were measured as a function of time under the isothermal crystallization conditions. With the process of crystallization, the phase of solution changes from transparent state to opaque one within around 1-2 min for 40 or 45 wt % PVME sample, the C-H symmetric stretching bands (nus(CH3)) shift to lower wave number 2823 cm(-1). The red shift of nus(CH3) absorption band was not observed in the transparent noncrystallization area. Using the temperature jump method, we determined the growth rate of ice crystal between the glass transition temperature Tg and the melting temperature Tm. At the different crystallization temperatures Tc, the different morphologies and dimension of ice crystal are also observed.

The adipose explants were cultured in culture medium with or without FBS, then ATE was collected to induce passage four (P4)-ADSCs, which were subsequently detected with oil red staining on the 7th day and the adipogenic ratio was calculated. Different concentrations of ATE without FBS (100 microg/mL, 250 microg/mL and 500 microg/mL) were used to induce P4-ADSCs before the adipogenic events, and the adipogenic ratio of each concentration group was observed. The effect of different protein concentrations on ADSCs proliferation and migration was also observed.RESULTS: Alizarin red staining and NF immunofluorescence staining were positive after the osteogenic and neural induction of cultured ADSCs. Either ATE with or without FBS was able to induce adipogenic differentiation of ADSCs on the 3rd day and there was no significant differences of adipogenic differentiation between ATE with FBS and without FBS on the 7th day. The adipogenic ratio of 500 microg/mL group was higher than that of 100 pg/mL group and 250 microg/mL group (P < 0.05). After two days of induction, all the three different protein concentrations could inhibit cell proliferation, and different protein concentrations in ATE had no effect on the migration of ADSCs.CONCLUSION: ATE obtained from culture medium without FBS has no effect on adipogenic capacity of ADSCs in a short period of time. The adipogenic ratio of ADSCs is associated with protein concentration in ATE.

However, blocking cholesteryl ester and triglyceride metabolism in lysosomal acid lipase gene knockout mice (lal-/-) results in severe pathogenic phenotypes in the lung, including massive neutrophil infiltration, foamy macrophage accumulation, unwanted cell growth, and emphysema. To elucidate the mechanism underlining these pathologies, we performed Affymetrix GeneChip microarray analysis of 1-, 3-, and 6-month-old mice and identified aberrant gene expression that progressed with age. Among changed genes, matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-12, apoptosis inhibitor 6 (Api-6), erythroblast transformation-specific domain (Ets) transcription factor family member Spi-C, and oncogene MafB were increased 100-, 70-, 40-, and 10-fold, respectively, in lal-/- lungs versus the wild-type lungs. The pathogenic increases of these molecules occurred primarily in alveolar type II epithelial cells. Transcriptional activities of the MMP-12 and Api-6 promoters were stimulated by Spi-C or MafB in respiratory epithelial cells. Treatment with 9-hydroxyoctadecanoic acids and ciglitazone significantly rescued lal-/- pulmonary inflammation and aberrant gene expression. In addition, both compounds as well as peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma inhibited MMP-12 and Api-6 promoter activities. These data suggest that inflammation-triggered cell growth and emphysema during lysosomal acid lipase deficiency are partially caused by peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-gamma inactivation.
