both in terms... more Geological mapping is the initial activity in determining the condition of an area both in terms of lithology, geomorphology, stratigraphy, geological structure, geological history to the geological evaluation of an area. Field geological mapping in the area of Kamal Village, Larangan District, Brebes Regency, Central Java Province was conducted to determine geological aspects such as variations in lithology, distribution, thickness and age of lithology, relationships between lithology, landscape mapping, geological structures that had worked and were working active work in this area, geological evaluation both in terms of positive and negative, and can compile the geological history of the mapping area. The method in this field geological mapping is by taking data directly in the field which is recorded in the field notebook and base map, in the form of lithology data (variations, thickness), geological structure (position, other secondary structure geology data), geomorphological data in the field, potential data in the field both positive (springs, minerals) and negative (landslide areas, drought). Field data obtained were analyzed such as petrographic analysis, micropaleontology and structural geology for more accurate results. The end of the implementation of the geological mapping produces maps of observational locations or trajectories, geomorphological maps, river flow maps, geological maps, geological evaluation maps, and reports on mapping results. Keywords: Geological mapping, potential, micropaleontology, geomorphology
