And the major approaches are DEVS(Discrete Event Systems Specification). Petri-net or Automata and so on. But, the simulation problems are getting more complex or complicated these days, so that an intelligent agent-based is being studied. In this paper, we are describing an intelligent agent-based simulation tool, which can supports the simulation experiment more efficiently. The significances of our system can be described as follows. First, the system can provide some AI algorithms through the system libraries. Second, the system supports simple method of designing the simulation model, since it's been built under the Finite State Machine (FSM) structure. And finally, the system acts as a simulation framework by supporting user not only the simulation engine, but also user-friendly tools, such as modeler scriptor and simulator. The system mainly consists of...

It applies this method to compare message complexity of TDMA-based ad hoc MAC protocols. Since the network resource of ad hoc networks is limited due to the wireless communication channel, the scalability issue is a major research topic in developing ad-hoc algorithms. Simulation demonstrates the TDMA-based MAC

This technique is capable of searching the Web informations using the user specified tags, but still it has a limitation of providing only the limited informations to the tags. Therefore, in order to search the related informations easily, we need to extend this technique further to search not only the desired informations through the designated tags and also the related informations. In this paper, we first have designed and developed an algorithm that can get a desired tag cluster, which is capable of collecting the searched tags along with the related tags. We first performed a test to compare the difference between the user collected tag data through RSS and the reduced data. The second test focused on the accuracy of extracted related tags that depends on the similarity functions, such as the Pearson Correlation and Euclidean. Finally, we showed the final results visually using the graph algorithm.

At first, we train the pattern for extracting the proper nouns by applying the initial proper names into the unannotated corpora that does not have any tags yet. And then we continuously apply the pattern templates into the corpora in order to extract new proper nouns until certain period.

Therefore, more appropriate and intelligent services of the context awareness system is being required. The previous context awareness system can provide a service to the user through the inference only on the current situation. But, it does not handle certain situation properly when the system provides abnormal result. Also it does not have any proper method of generating reliable semantic data from sensed raw data. In this paper, we are trying to solve the problems as the following approaches. First, the system recognizes abnormal result and corrects it by learning feedback from the user. Second, we suggest a method of converting sensed data into more reliable semantic data. Third, we build the system based on an Ontological context model that is capable of interoperability and reusability. Therefore, the context awareness system of our study can enhance th...

The central component of the ITS, the instructional planner, is responsible for determining what to do next at each point during a tutoring session. The approach taken is to build the planner by combining the capabilities of lesson planning and discourse planning in order to provide globally coherent and adaptive instruction. The planner consists of two parts: a lesson planner and a discourse planner. The lesson planner generates lesson plans, which the discourse planner carries out. A sample dialogue, extracted from the transcript of an actual human tutor-student interaction, is used to provide a framework for the development of the overall system, especially from the planner's point of view

The service robot monitors its surroundings, and provides a service to meet a user’s goal. The service often becomes too complex that one single robot may not handle efficiently. In other words, a group of robots may be needed to accomplish given task(s) by collaborating each other. We can define this activity as a robot grouping, and we need to study further to make better group(s) by considering their characteristics of the each robot. But, it is difficult and no formal methods to make such a specific group from the many heterogeneous robots that are different in their functions and structures. This paper describes an intelligent service robot framework that outlines a multi-layer structure, which is suitable to make a particular group of robots to solve given task by collaborating with other robots. Simulated experimentation for grouping from the generated several heterogeneous is done by utilizing Entropy algorithm. And the collaboration among the robots is done by the multi-level task planning mechanism.

But also, one serious side effect is the explosive increase of the unauthorized computer access, and it becomes a big social problem. Of course, there are many security solutions in the market, but they cannot stop such intrusions or reduce the damages resulting from such accident. Besides, the protection of the system requires significant amount of the budget. Therefore, we need to think of minimizing damages or avoiding from the intrusions. One possible solution might be providing a training system to the system managers who are in charge of maintaining and protecting the servers. In this paper, we are suggesting a simulated security training system in the virtual learning environment. The system is being built based on the ITS structure primarily, and mainly focused on providing the simulated security exercises adaptively. For instance, since the system maintains the solution paths, the student’s problem solving steps are monitored and being interrupted with advising messages when necessary. It is designed as a client/server environment, so the student needs only the web browser to access the system. And the student can execute the selected task in the Java applet-based virtual OS environment according to the learning scenario.

In the reliability-based cooperative system, the concepts of a mobile ad hoc network (MANET) and an object entropy are adopted in order to coordinate a specific task. A logical robot group is created based on the exchange of request and reply messages in a robot communication group whose organization depends on transmission range. In the time-critical cooperative system, relational entropy is used to define the relationship between mobile robots. A group leader is selected based on optimizing power consumption. The proposed algorithm has been verified based on the computer-based simulation and soccer robot experiment. The performance metrics are defined. The metrics include the number of messages needed to make a logical robot group and to obtain the relationship of robots and the power consumption to select a group leader. They are v...
