The current study investigates the construct validity among four major interest inventories—the Self-Directed Search (SDS), the O*NET Interest Profiler (IP), the ACT Interest Inventory (UNIACT), and the Strong Interest Inventory (SII). Results showed that RIASEC interest scores from the four inventories were highly correlated, but the measures often gave respondents different high-point codes. Item content analysis revealed that the inventories measured both overlapping and distinct basic interests, as well as which basic interests are being measured by popular interest inventories. We integrate findings from the three sets of analyses to discuss implications for advancing interest assessment using basic interests as the core structural units. Effects of various factors such as composition of mobile phase, concentration of cyclodextrins and column temperature on retention and enantioselectivity were studied. Apparent formation constant between methanol, acetonitrile and sulfobutylether-β-cyclodextrin were determined to be 2.90 × 10-3 and 1.00 × 10-4 L mmol-1 under 25 °C using UV-spectrophotometry. Van't Hoff plots were used to investigate thermodynamic parameters for enantiomers-stationary phase interaction and formation of inclusion complex. Two retention models were employed individually for evaluation of inclusion complexation between five racemates and sulfobutylether-β-cyclodextrin. The second model with complex adsorption was more accord with the retention behavior of fluoxetine hydrochloride, labetalol and venlafaxine hydrochloride enantiomers, while the first model was more consistent with the retention behaviors of trans-paroxol and atropine sulfate. In the selected mobile phase, stoichiometric ratio for both of inclusion complex was found to be 1:1. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.

Currently, the problem of anti-collision can be divided into two parts. The first part is how to estimate the tags accurately. The other part is how to improve system efficiency. In this paper, the existing tag estimation method in physical layer is used to improve Bayesian Method for tag estimation in slot Aloha protocol, and the tag access probability for each slot based on collision recovery method is designed to maximize the system efficiency. The simulation shows that the posterior probability distribution of number of tags can adapt quickly to concentrate around the true value in few slots and the system throughput can close to the theoretical limit of the slotted Aloha system.

Maxim. The structures of the new compounds were established on the basis of spectroscopic data and acid hydrolysis. All the isolates were investigated for their antihyperglycemic activities in 3T3-L1 adipocytes. The results showed that compounds <b>1</b> and <b>2</b> promoted the glucose consumption prominently in 3T3-L1 adipocytes in a dose-response manner. Compound <b>1</b> and <b>2</b> induced 1.14–1.73 folds and 1.03–1.55 folds changes relative to the basal level, respectively, in the concentration range of 12.5 μM to 50 μM.

The MCTFBG device is composed of five continuous segments of chirped tilted fiber Bragg gratings (CTFBGs), which are inscribed into the large-mode-area (LMA, 25/400μm) fibers. The SRS suppression capability of the MCTFBG device has been successfully demonstrated with a master oscillator power amplification (MOPA) fiber laser system at the output level of 3.4 KW. The experimental observation thus indicates the MCTFBG’s excellent SRS suppression capability at a very high power level (∼15 dB under >3 kW) and high thermal handling capacity (∼1.48℃/kw). Our work thus provides a key development of essential fiber grating components that can effectively suppress the SRS suppression at a very high power level.

The subjects’ clinical manifestations and laboratory tests were analyzed retrospectively. Results: Compared with EBV-IM patients, EBV-HLH patients had longer durations of fever, both before hospitalization and overall, and a higher probability of hepatomegaly. The levels of ALT, AST, LDH, TG, SF, D-Dimer and the plasma EBV DNA load of EBV-HLH patients were significantly higher than those of EBV-IM patients. The absolute values of CD3+, CD4+, CD8+, NK, and CD3-CD19+ cells and IgA and IgM levels of EBV-HLH patients were signifi...

In this paper, the LAI was treated nine levels, and the spectral reflectance at nine levels was analyzed. It indicates that the spectral reflectance, which is up at red light region and is down at near infrared light region, is different significantly with LAI’s change. Meanwhile, the first derivation of canopy spectral reflectance was analyzed, and the result shows that the difference is lowest around 680nm band. The correlation between the DI (Disease Incidence) and the first derivations of reflectance was analyzed, and the result shows excitedly that the correlation coefficient is highest above 0.98 around 680 nm band. Lastly, the study shows that the LAI’s change has effect on the spectral feature of winter wheat with stripe rust, but the bands of around 680 nm were immune from the LAI’s change, then the first derivation of spectral...

METHOD Samples obtained from 6655 children hospitalized with acute respiratory tract infections (ARIs) during the period from 2006 to 2009, were tested for virus pathogens. Nasopharyngeal aspirates were obtained from the children according to a standard protocol and were tested for respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), influenza viruses (IFV) A and B, parainfluenza virus (PIV) types 1, 2, and 3 and adenovirus (ADV) with direct immunofluorescence assay. Samples were tested for hMPV with reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Meteorological conditions including mean temperature, relative humidity, rainfall amount, sum of sunshine and mean wind velocity were collected monthly. The relationship between activity of the virus and meteorological conditions was analyzed by linear regression and stepwise regression analysis. RES...

Two conventional adsorbents, C18 and silica gel were investigated. The strategy included two steps: Extraction and determination. Wasted crab shells were used as an alternative adsorbent and ionic liquid was used as an alternative solvent in the first step. Factors affecting extraction efficiency were optimized: A sample/adsorbent ratio of 2:1, a grinding time of 3 min, a vortex time of 3 min, and ionic liquid ([Domim]HSO4, 250 mM) was used as eluent in the VS-MSPD procedure. As a result, the established method provided satisfactory linearity (R > 0.999), good accuracy and high reproducibility (RSD < 4.60%), and it exhibited the advantages of smaller sample amounts, shorter extraction time, less volume of elution solv...

The primary lung tumor, metastatic regional lymph node and inflammatory lymph node were manually delineated by a nuclear medicine physician and a radiation oncologist. Total Body PET was acquired between 0 – 60 mins after the injection of FDG from the subject’s feet. We compared lesion heterogeneity and different image-derived PET metrics including the SUV-mean, Patlak-derived influx rate...
