The study used a Research and Development model with 4-D model consisted of four main stages, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. Preliminary research was conducted by depth-analyzing the AKM material and science material in the science curriculum of junior high school, identifying science materials or concepts that developed as AKM and PISA assessment instruments, designing instrument models and Computer-based Diagnostic assessments, implementation or empirical tests, validation, and first revision. And it ended with the dissemination stage through international seminars, attended by students, teachers, lecturers, and observers of science education. Herbal medicine is a traditional medicine that is still often encountered around us. Jamu is made... more Herbal medicine is a traditional medicine that is still often encountered around us. Jamu is made from spices with simple processing, one of which is ground. People often make herbal medicine but have not paid deep attention to what learning is contained in it. This study explores the relationship between learning science and herbal medicine mash made by the Samin residents. The purpose of this study was to explore the science concept in the process of making mashed herbal medicine for the Samin residents. This study used ethnographic methods with qualitative descriptive data analysis. There were 5 respondents consisting of Baturejo village officials, the elders of the samin community, the descendants of samin who were married to other samin, the descendants of samin who were married to Islam, and one Sukolilo villager who was involved to explore the concept of sains in the process of making the mashed herbal medicine of the Samin residents. The process of collecting data by means of semi-structured interviews. The results of the interview indicated that the Samin residents had applied the science concept in the process of making mashed jamu, but did not understand it because 99% did not go to school. The understanding of the people of Samin is only about making herbal medicine using natural tools that were passed down by their ancestors for medicine. The science concept contained in the mashed herbal medicine process includes the concept of motion, force, pressure, friction, collision, form, acid-base, color change, molecules and particles, active locomotion, and vitamin content.

The research places were conducted in Senior High School 1 Turen and Senior High School 1 Bululawang, Malang, East Java. This study used quantitative descriptive study with the test method. Subjects were 235 junior high school students in the academic year of 2019/2020 determined using purposive sampling techniques. The description test instrument was used to measure data literacy with four indicators, namely: exploring data, selecting data, converting data and maintaining decisions or making new decisions; this instrument has been validated by several lecturers. Data analysis generated was quantitative percentage. From the results of this study, test instruments for data literacy in junior high schools in Ciamis showed that the highest indicator was exploring data (39.32%), while the poorest was maintaining or making new decisions from data (29.47%). Type of this research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects used were students of class VIII A SMP Negeri 2 Bungkal, Ponorogo who collected 30 students using purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques consist of interviews and tests. The research instrument consisted of a teacher interview sheet and a critical thinking question instrument that had been validated by expert lecturers. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis technique.
