Hume's critiques about it, then evaluate the arguments power and significance. Hume's critiques can be summed up in two main points. 1. About the premise of the argument: The concept of "theological order" is based on an anthropomorphic analogy and this is inappropriate. 2. About the conclusion of the argument: TheArgument doesn't lead us to the God of theistic religions. In the paper, different concepts of order are analyzed and according to this analysis Hume's critiques are discussed widely in the light of R. Swinburne's new formulation of the argument. At the end, in the light of those discussions, I investigate power and significance of the argument

Ideologies are strong and hardly changeable personal views which are lack of factual knowledge and for that aspect they cannot be criticized and questioned by their adherents. Ideologies get their power from enthusiasm not from their suitability to facts to scientific facts. Because of that, ideologies also make harder understanding and grasping universal human values and rights. Ideologies can be seen as prisons of mind. As Cemil Meric –a contemporary Turkish thinkersays, “ideologies are the straitjacket of minds”. Indeed this metaphor is fitting the situation exactly. Ideologies eclipsed the human reasoning. In this paper I will try to analyze and evaluate the epistemological structure of ideologies and try to give reasons of why they are prisons of human mind and modern people.

In this context, it ?looks for answers to the following questions: What makes a text, a theory or a research scien-?tific? How can we demarcate science and scientific from metaphysical thoughts, ideologies, ?pseudo-sciences and conspiracy theories? Those questions are discussed around the views of ?some modern philosophers. In this context, first of all the article deals with logical positivists and induction as their scientific method, Popper and deduction as his scientific method, T. Kuhn and his view of science as puzzle-solving skill, I. Lakatos and his view of science as research programmes. Then the article examines recent views on demarcation problem and evaluates multi criterion views about what makes something scientific. Finally the article seeks to give answer to ?the question what makes something pseudo-scientific.

Two lines of evidence are given to support this argument: one based on the Ash&lhring;ari approach to faith as inferential knowledge (knowledge by ta&sdotu;dīq ), the other based on their view that knowledge accrues its certainty from conclusive evidence. Further, the paper shows that—because they held that the evidence leading people to faith is sufficient and conclusive—the Ash&lhring;aris believed that there was no need for a volitional ‘leap of faith’. The paper concludes that early Ash&lhring;ari theory of faith depended upon a strong rationalistic view and is completely rationalistic.
