Characteristic fragment ions obtained in Fast atom bombardment (FAB) mass spectroscopy of ribose ... more Characteristic fragment ions obtained in Fast atom bombardment (FAB) mass spectroscopy of ribose alkylated Uridine 5'-monophosphate (5'-UMP) derivatives in negative ion mode are described. All the compounds examined exhibited either [M]- or quasimolecular ion [M - H]- the fragmentations can be used to characterize these nucleotides.

The present study is an attempt to know the attitude of secondary school teachers towards populat... more The present study is an attempt to know the attitude of secondary school teachers towards population education in relation to sex and area. For this purpose, 100 teachers (50 male and 50 female) were selected from different schools affiliated to SEBA and CBSE Board on the basis of random sampling. The Descriptive Survey Method was employed for the present study. The Investigator has used self-structured standardized data gathering tools for collecting the data. To test the hypotheses, appropriate statistical technique has been used. The self structured questionnaire was used as a tool. It is found that majority of the respondents in urban area have high level of attitude towards the population education.
The process for the preparation of an analgesic cream for joints and arthritis pain involves the ... more The process for the preparation of an analgesic cream for joints and arthritis pain involves the mixing of water based and lipid based ingredients into an appropriate quantity at suitable temperature i.e. 40°C at which the desired creamy texture is obtained. The active ingredients of analgesic cream are ethanolic extract of roots of Moringa oleifera (15 %) and kojic acid (1.0%). The formulation of analgesic cream comprises of petroleum jelly, mineral oil, lanolin, stearyl alcohol, emulsifying wax, lanth 15, glycerine, parabene, kojic acid dipalmitate and root extract of Moringa oleifera.
ABSTRACT Isonicotinic acid hydrazide (isoniazid, INH) and isatin are potential bioactive agents [... more ABSTRACT Isonicotinic acid hydrazide (isoniazid, INH) and isatin are potential bioactive agents [1-5].Tuberculosis (TB) remains a major cause of mortality throughout the world. Resistance of Mycobacterium tuberculosis to antituberculosis drugs becomes very serious problem [6] Isonicotinic acid hydrazide (isoniazid, INH) belongs to the group of the first line antituberculosis drugs being in clinical practice over 50 years. Chemical modifications of isonicotinic acid hydrazide were performed on all parts of the molecule, but the activity of these derivatives against M. tuberculosis has not yet exceeded that of INH[7]. To overcome the resistance, combination of INH molecule with other active molecules is frequently applied[8]. This work was aimed at enhancing the antimycobacterial activity of INH by conjugation with keto group of 5 fluoro isatin and evaluate synergetic effect by conformational analysis using Argus lab, Ligand Scout and Marvin Sketch.
