And this has taken a great toll on Nigerian voters as they decided in the forth coming 2015 general election which has been scheduled for February 14th 2015. With the aim of prevent the escalation of violence, I have provided this research to show that should ithe be the Muslim side loose, it wouldn't be because the election were rigged, but because of the perception the Nigeria Christian population has towards a Muslim leader.

The thiosemicarbazone derivatives used are 2-acetyl- pyridine-(4-phenylthiosemicarbazone) (PTSC), 2-acetylpyridine-(4- phenyl-iso-methylthiosemicarbazone) (PIMTSC) and 2-acetylpyridine-(4-phenyl-iso-ethylthio-semicarbazone (PIETSC). They were mixed in doublet: PTSC + PIMTSC (PM), PTSC + PIETSC (PE) and PIMTSC + PIETSC (ME) and in triplet PTSC + PIMTSC + PIETSC (PME). The maximum inhibition efficiency is in the order ME > PE > PME > PM. The inhibition efficiency increases with increase in iso group in the mixtures, which was attributed to interaction of the molecules resulting to exposing of the adsorption sites. Physical adsorption mechanism has been proposed for the mixture used. Kinetic treatment of the results gave a first order type of mechanism.

The samples were also subjected to physico-chemical tests. The results obtained show that the silicon content was the highest and that of manganese the lowest. The silica (SiO2) content was found to be 47.52% followed by alumina (Al2O3) 34.01%, iron oxide (Fe2O3) 2.38% and trace amounts of other elements such as Ca, Mg, Na and Mn (0.038, 0.188, 1.78 and 0.00%, respectively). The X-ray diffraction studies showed that the clay deposits consist predominantly of kaolinite and quartz with trace amounts of illites and biotite minerals. The infra red spectral analysis between 400 and 3700 cm -1 revealed interesting wave numbers and absorption bands. EDAX a...
The corrosion behaviour of mild steel in HCl solutions and its inhibition by 4-acetamidoaniline (... more The corrosion behaviour of mild steel in HCl solutions and its inhibition by 4-acetamidoaniline (4AAA) was studied using the weight loss and hydrogen evolution techniques at 303-323K. All the data reveal that 4AAA acts as an inhibitor in the acid environment. The % inhibition efficiency of 4AAA increased with increase in inhibitor concentration and temperature but decreased with increase in acid concentration. The experimental data fits into the Langmuir, Temkin and Flory-Huggins adsorption isotherms. The mechanism of chemical adsorption is proposed. Thermodynamic parameters for adsorption of 4AAA were calculated from the experimental data at the temperatures studied.

Design/methodology/approach - Ethanol extracts of TYV leaves, XYA fruits and ZGO roots were used as inhibitors in various corrosion tests. Gravimetric and gasometric techniques were used to characterize the mechanism of inhibition. Findings - Results indicate that the extracts inhibit the corrosion process efficiently. Inhibition efficiency was found to increase with an increase in extract concentration and decrease with an increase in temperature. Inhibition efficiencies followed the trend TYV > ZGO > XYA. Thermodynamic considerations revealed that the energy of activation increased in the presence of the plant extracts. Adsorption of the plant extracts on mild steel surface occurred spontaneously, and E-a and Delta G(ads) values confirm a physical adsorption processes. Phytochemical studies showed the presence of saponoids, flavonoids and polyphenols whose attachment to adsorption sites on the metal surface is responsible for the inhibition process. Experimental data fit the Langmuir adsorption isotherm. Practical implications - The plant extracts can be used in chemical cleaning and picking processes. Originality/value - The research provides information on the possible use of the ethanol extracts from TYV leaves, XYA fruits and ZGO roots as sources of cheap, eco-friendly and non-toxic corrosion inhibitors.

Identity conflicts was said to be responsible for the Rwandan genocide. This research looks at the detriment of identity politics in Nigeria's democratic development, with the hope of generalizing our find to other countries which has similar ethnic divides.
