The increasing demand for electric consumption proportionally increases the application of cables. The excessive application of wires also increases the possibility of a short circuit and fire-sparks. Wireless power transfer is an excellent alternative for this problem that would eliminate cables and increase electrical safety. The current researches in wireless power transfer are combining the conformal strongly-coupled magnetic resonance and tilting the coil position to optimize the efficiency and increase the transferred power. The current challenge of wireless power transfer is distance; therefore, to reach more places, a node or amplifier circuit is needed to increase the range of this electric power transfer. This paper investigates the effect of nodes’ tilt angle application in wireless power transfer. The experiment results show that the use of 3 nodes is possible to extend the induction area to power more electronic devices. The angle between the transmitter and receiver significantly affects the efficiency of the system. The maximum efficiency of the system can reach 3.89% by using one node and three nodes when the node angle is 5o. The produced power is decreasing as the angle is increasing. However, when the angle reaches 40o, the produced power is increasing and similar to the initial angles. The maximum power value is obtained when the angle is 5o, which is 0.2496 watts.

Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) is not a new finding in Electrical Engineering technology; however,... more Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) is not a new finding in Electrical Engineering technology; however, currently, it is back to fame due to the increment of device mobility, avoiding the hazardous wiring application, cleaner connection, and improves vehicle mobility. The WPT can be an alternative to power an automatic transport system that results in an aesthetic and safe system. The continuous charging ensures system reliability. The main problem with WPT is that it is still limited by the distance, which can be overcome by setting the transmitter and receiver in a sufficient distance. This paper discussed the prototype of automated transport and simulated using a line follower mobile robot, which is charged continuously by a WPT system. The proposed method is tested by two experimental test-bed settings; the under the track and overhead transmitter setting. The produced voltage and currents move the robot at a different speed that is achieved by varying the distance between transmitter and receiver. The ideal distance between transmitter and receiver attached to the line follower robot is 2 cm indicated by DC motor speed. For under the track transmitter setting, at the distance of 2 cm, the robot’s DC motor moves in 104.5 RPM, and for the overhead transmitter setting, DC motor speed is 93.4 RPM. This difference is not very significant; therefore, both applications are applicable. However, for the application in a real automated transport system, the under the track transmitter setting is aesthetically more pleasant for city planning.

Robotics technology has merged into human’s ev-eryday life, from industry to domestic application... more Robotics technology has merged into human’s ev-eryday life, from industry to domestic application, including agriculture and creates digital farming. Agriculture industry currently faces new challenges, including aging farming and higher demand for food to feed the growing population. It is expected that robot application in agriculture can reduce the production cost in the long run and improve product quality, and increase productivity. A robot can be applied from seeding, maintenance, crop harvesting, and packing. A pick and place robot is an ideal form in accumulation and packing the harvested product. This type of robot a vision sensor to detect the crop to be collected or object to be picked and placed. However, the application of image processing needs to be kept adequate but straightforward to accommodate the current microcontroller technology. This paper discusses the implementation of an edge detection method for recognizing and tracking an object, and the target considered in this study is a tomato. Twenty experiments were conducted to pick and place a tomato from 3 random positions to a basket. The total average time of robot to finish its task is 05.81 s. The experimental result shows that the proposed method is effective for a 4DOF pick and place robot.

Corn is the common agriculture product in Palembang suburban, which can be utilized to boost the ... more Corn is the common agriculture product in Palembang suburban, which can be utilized to boost the income of local residents. Appropriate technology application is beneficial to improve the productivity of the household scale industry. This paper proposed an automatic corn sheller to apply appropriate technology for post-harvesting of the agriculture industry in the Palembang suburban. The corn sheller design is kept simple to ensure its repeatability. Experiments using the design test-best were conducted to show the effectiveness of the proposed method. Data results show that the sheller effectively follows the FLC design. The average total time of the shelling process is 4.7 s which is fast; therefore, it can improve the productivity of household-scale industries. The data results show that the proposed method is effective in shelling average corn found in Palembang.

At the beginning of its application, arm-robot manipulator worked blindly in completing the assig... more At the beginning of its application, arm-robot manipulator worked blindly in completing the assigned task, and along with the improvement of camera technology as it is getting cheaper and smaller, the application of visual sensor lead to visual servoing control which utilized target detection as the input to control/move the end-effector of an arm-robot. The application of camera in arm-robot manipulator is divided into eye-in-hand where a camera is mounted to the robot, and eye-to-hand where the camera is fixed elsewhere. Visual control involves kinematics modeling and target position in image plane provided by image processing to ensure the motion accuracy in grasping and harvesting the fruit. The end-effector movement for harvesting relies heavily on the accuracy of target position detection that can be obtained by image processing method. This paper is a review study that discusses the design of visual servoing control of an arm-robot manipulator applied in agriculture starting from kinematics and inverse kinematics for controlling the motion and trajectory of the robot, and image processing for target detecting. An example of an image processing method is given by using Edge Detection method for detecting a dragon fruit simulated in SCILAB.

Transportation is among those conveniences needed in daily activities, including warehouses. The easy-to-build and straightforward transport robot are desired to ease human workers' working conditions. The application of artificial intelligence (AI), Fuzzy Logic Controller, and Neural Network ensures the robot is able to finish assigned tasks better and faster. This paper shows the concept design of an AI-controlled good transport robot applied in the warehouse. The design is made as fast and straightforward forward possible, and the feasibility of the proposed method is proven by simulation in Scilab FLT and Neuroph.

Due to the importance of arm robot manipulator in manufacturing lines, the robustness and effective design are essential in building an arm robot. This paper presents the controller, mechanical, and motion designs of an arm robot manipulator. The fuzzy logic controller is employed to ensure the effectiveness in detecting the target object. PID controller is designed to enhance the smooth and stability of robot motion. The simulation of how the robot move inside its workspace was conducted using RSTX toolbox in SciLab. The motion is generated by deriving Denavit-Hartenberg parameters of the mechanical design. The result shows the effective design of Fuzzy-PID controller and mechanical design of a pick and places arm robot manipulator.

The human need for commuting has led to the idea of an automatic transport system that can transport people and goods without the assistance of a driver. This idea can lead to a new "normal" and reduced cost of manufacturing in the industry. The paper discussed the concept of an automatic transport system using a weight sensor. An automatic vehicle is designed to transport loads of different packages and be allocated automatically based on the weight of the package. The system is designed to be as simple as possible to increase the scope for implementation.

In this research, the surveillance robot is made to resemble the shape of a mars rover robot that is applied to be able to move more freely to stalk areas and be able to navigate on uneven surfaces. The movement of the surveillance robot wheel uses a wireless PS 2 remote control and is driven by a DC motor rotation as its main drive. The connection between the PS2 Remote Control and the surveillance robot is by using the Arduino Uno. In addition, this robot will be equipped with a camera that will send visual surveillance results from the robot to the smartphone.

The advantage of this solar energy is that it is non-polluting, inexhaustible and can be used directly or indirectly and is energy for all time. In this study, a tool designed for hybrid electric energy generation using solar energy and wind energy. The solar panel used is 50 Wp Polycrystalline type and The wind generator used is MY-1016 with an output power of 350 Watt. In this study, a system for monitoring the power generated electric energy generator using solar energy is needed which consists of components such as current sensors INA219, Arduino Mega 2560 and displayed in real time using the Internet of Things (IOT).

Technology enables automation in all areas of life, and robots are among the most frequently used machines in automation. Robots can help with human work in all fields, including agriculture. A mobile robot manipulator is a combination of a robot arm and a mobile robot so that this type of robot can combine the capabilities of the two robots. This paper discusses the design of a robot manipulator to be used in agriculture to replace farmers in the harvesting of agricultural products, such as tomatoes. This paper presents a mechanical, electrical design and uses the Fuzzy Logic Controller as artificial intelligence. The feasibility of the proposed method is demonstrated by simulation in Mobotsim.
