Indeed, they appear in many forms of mathematical problems, ranging from 9th, 10th and 12th grades. The complexity of the mathematical problems makes students commit many errors when using the Vieta’s formulas to solve them. The sample consisted of 246 students in grades 10 and 12, in which they addressed four questionnaires related to Vieta’s formulas. The results were quite unexpected because the errors of tenth graders also existed for 12th grade students for many different reasons. Article visualizations:

Accordingly, teaching activities were designed according to five learning stages, which were integrated with mathematical thinking levels according to Van Hiele's model. Simultaneously, the learners' mathematical thinking and reasoning competencies were assessed according to the competency requirements specified in the Mathematics General Education Program and the levels of Van Hiele's model, the above three aspects of knowledge, skills and attitudes. The experiment involved 84 students in class 10, 44 of whom were in the experimental group, and 40 were in the control group. The research results showed that students in the experimental group achieved higher mathematical thinking and reasoning skills. Specifically, the two groups had equivalent results for the level of visualization and analysis. However, at the informal deductio...

According to the results of an investigation before, we recognized that the students of mathematics education at Can Tho University have not tended toward applying analogical reasoning to teaching mathematics. This raised a question: "Did the mathematics education students have some difficulties in applying analogical reasoning to teaching mathematics?" To answer the above question, we conducted the study with the following two objectives: (1) to find out mathematics education students' the ability to apply the TWA model to teaching mathematics contents in secondary schools. (2) to know these students' opinions on advantages and disadvantages of applying the TWA model to teaching mathematics in secondary schools. The study was carried out in Can Tho University - Vietnam in 2014.

A mind map can significantly improve student learning and teacher teaching activities by its unique structure and characteristics. This study demonstrates the feasibility and effectiveness of incorporating a mind map into the geometry curriculum for fourth-grade students. The findings of an experiment conducted on 44 primary students demonstrate that, with the teacher's guidance, most students can create an appropriate mind map to review a lesson and that the mind map contributes to increasing students' learning motivation and subject interests. Several students responded positively to a survey about their attitudes toward using mind maps in mathematics learning, which revealed that they have favorable attitudes toward using mind maps. In the context of microeconomics, it is widely known that the development of scientific inquiry skills is central to the construction of ideas that enable understanding. Intelligent tutoring systems (ITSs) have been shown to be effective in supporting students' domain-level learning through guided problem solving practice. ITSs provide personalized feedback (in the form of hints) to students and improve learning at effect sizes approaching that of human tutors. However, creating an ITS to adapt to individual students requires the involvement of experts to provide knowledge about both the academic domain and novice student behavior in that domain’s curriculum. Creating an ITS requires time, resources, and multidisciplinary skills. Because of the large possible range of problem solving behavior for any individual topic, the amount of expert involvement required to create an effective, adaptable tutoring system can be high...
