Abstract
Nowdays, the development of cities and urbanization has led to an ever-increasing demand for housing and the emergence of new proportions and needs. The direct link between the living environment and the climate indicates the importance that the climate impact on nature should not be ignored in order to achieve a desirable life. The architectural characteristics of the residential tower which is one of the issues that today has a special place in the field of architectural construction and design. The main question of the research is, what are the physical and architectural factors affecting the design of the residential tower in line with the climate of the city of Rasht? And how? This thesis aimed to propose an optimization process for a residential tower shape in terms of the earthquack load, wind load, radiation and temperature characteristic in the early design stage. After the optimization Analysis,In the second phase as the chosen solution is selected we examined site orientation, wind, framework, and green space to show how it effect on residential tower design. The research is based on mixed method approach data collection and analysis. For qualitative analysis we use data from literature review and informations such as weather file data(.epw),… from its related organizations. In order to achieve quantitative analysis GA-based optimization method is proposed describes a platform, Galapagos, for the development of distributed evolutionary algorithms which can provide useful solutions in practical timescales to difficult optimization problems in the Architectural engineering fields. It is desirable to find the optimal solution in few iterations, especially in some test cases where the optimal results are expected to be obtained easily. The method has been tested for systems to show its effectiveness. Further improvement for the method is also discussed. In order to further investigation, practical tests is also required to measure the research accuracy.
