From just a skilled homemaker, women today have acquired skills and capabilities at par with their male counterparts. This is the new generation of women, who want to pursue their dream career. But their life is not a bed of roses for all. Women act as backbone for family and society. They are responsible for their children's future and their family activities. In past century, women stayed in home and did the entire house hold activities, now days it has been changed. Women in recent years go to work to improve their financial status. Now women are playing multi-dimensional role. They perform work at office as well as in home; this brings an imbalance to them. By these, women are physically and mentally affected. This gives rise to study the work stress among working women. The present study was carried out with the help of collection of primary and secondary data. Primary data were collected with the help of a structured questionnaire and secondary data were collected from books, journal and websites. Samples constituting 133 respondents were selected by adopting convenient sampling technique. After collecting the primary data the researcher has thoroughly verified the data and arranged them for analysis with the help of mean, standard deviation, rank correlation. Suitable suggestions are also propounded for the management of the organization to take steps to reduce the employees' level of stress through counseling and reinforcement techniques.
