These animals attacks usually occur in remote areas where definitive management can not be done and immediate referrals of these patients will have significant effect on overall outcome. Patients injured in animal assault present with different types of fractures of facial bone. Zygoma, maxilla, nose, pinna, orbit and eye balls are high risk areas in encounter with wild animals. Extensive degloving injuries with soft tissue loss also occur in such type of attacks. Careful management and selection of different methods of reconstruction are very important for final functional and esthetic outcome. Aim of this article is to report the severe injuries and reconstructive management of face including facial bone fracture and soft tissue loss. 1 2 3 4 Neeraj K Dhiman, Shankar Singh, Vishal Verma, Ajit K Vishwakarma 1 2 Assistant Professor, Junior Resident, FDS, IMS, BHU, Varanasi (...

They are considered as hamartomatous or developmental odontogenic anomaly rather than a true neoplasm, characterized by slow growth and non aggressive behavior. The structural composition of odontomas are enamel, dentin, cementumalong with both epithelial and mesenchymal tissues and they are classified by world health organization (WHO) in to two types based on their gross anatomical and radiological features: the complex and the compound odontoma. We report a case of 20 years old female with a large complex odontoma involving right posterior maxilla and maxillary sinus with clinical features suggestive of maxillary sinusitis. The tumor was excised en bloc alongwith impacted molar through intraoral approach.

Shortening of jaw and decrease in size of tooth is an evolutionary process but impaction of multiple teeth in anterior esthetic zone is quite rare and usually found in syndromic patient. We present two cases of multiple impacted teeth involving both anterior maxilla and mandible associated with dentigerous cyst. Keywords: Impacted teeth, Dentigerous cyst, Maxilla, Mandible

In literature, disorder has been described to affect the submandibular and parotid gland along with multiple other facial developmental anomalies. Most commonly, congenital aplasia of submandibular gland is associated with compensatory hypertrophy of contralateral submandibular gland. Clinically, patients may be asymptomatic or may present with dryness of the mouth, difficulty in chewing and swallowing, and dental caries. We present a case of 34-year-old female with right submandibular gland aplasia associated with stone in the left submandibular duct causing proximal dilatation incidentally detected in the computed tomography.

Synovial sarcoma represents 5.6%–10% of all soft-tissue sarcomas. Knox suggested the name synovial sarcoma in the year 1936. These tumors are usually not found in soft tissues of head and neck region, and majority of tumors believed to take origin from paravertebral connective tissue spaces and manifest as parapharyngeal and solitary retropharyngeal masses near the carotid bifurcation. We present a rare case of biphasic synovial sarcoma of the submandibular region in a young male patient.
