This study discusses the influence of land use change on hydrological characteristic in the period 1991 to 2008. Landsat 5 TM years 1991 and Landsat 7 ETM years 2008 were used to determine land use distribution and their changing. Land use, slope, soil type, and drainage density were used to determine distribution of runoff coefficient with Cook’s method. Trend analysis on annual runoff coefficient, direct runoff, base flow and river regime coefficient, were done to know actual hydrological condition.
The research results show that the land use has been changed particularly, forest, cultivated, and settlement area. Its changes dominant occurs on the slope > 15 %. Based on the Cook’s methods, land use change causes an increase in the runoff coefficient. Hydrological data analysis in time series 1991 – 2008, indicate a tendency of increase of annual runoff coefficient, direct runoff, and river regime coefficient, while the base flow tends to decrease. The results of scenarios 1a, 1b, 2a, and 2b show the influence, land use changes on hydrological characteristics particularly, run off coefficient, direct run off, and base flow.
