Alumni Hall to be renovated for academic space

Wake Forest is beginning to take action on its near-term Central Campus space plan as part of its strategy to renew academic and student support spaces. The first step will be the renovation of most of Alumni Hall into academic space, bringing the departments of Philosophy, Education, and Computer Science and the Entrepreneurship program under one roof. 

The connectivity and potential community between these disciplines invite innovative interdisciplinary collaboration and encourage experiential pedagogy. Many of you have already started exploring the potential of these tools, and now, with broader access through your Wake Forest account, even more of you can take advantage of them.

Through our enterprise licensing, you can now explore AI chat tools like Google Gemini Chat and Microsoft Copilot Chat, as well as innovative image creation and other genAI features found in Adobe Firefly. These resources are available to all Wake Forest community members to support and inspire your work.

Submit nominees for Medallion of Merit by Oct. 1

Each year, Wake Forest bestows its highest honor, the Medallion of Merit on a deserving member of the Wake Forest community. The Medallion is awarded during the annual Founders Day ceremony. Wake Forest community members are welcome to nominate potential recipients of this distinguished honor. You can do so by submitting a nomination here by Tuesday, Oct. 1.

Major Reynolda Campus revitalization effort begins

Wake Forest plans significant investment in academic and student spaces over next 7 years

Wake Forest leadership gets a tour of Greene Hall, where 20 classroom technology and learning environments were recently upgraded.

This year, Wake Forest will take action on its near-term Reynolda Campus space plan as part of a holistic strategy to renew academic and student support spaces. The plan aims to create 35 percent more academic space and 50 percent more student gathering and dining space, including 60 more offices, 20 more specialized teaching and research spaces, and more collaborative gathering space to support the College of Arts and Sciences. Additionally, the plan will right-size existing classrooms, labs and offices in the buildings targeted by the plan.

Steps on the first proposed project in the plan are anticipated to begin this semester, transforming Alumni Hall from an administrative office building into an academic building. Read More »

Wake Forest University: Reaffirmation of accreditation in 2026

Throughout 2024-25, all schools and divisions of the University will be preparing the compliance report for our decennial SACSCOC (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges) reaffirmation of accreditation in 2026.

Members of the University’s SACSCOC Compliance Team have begun drafting the narratives that comprise the report and may reach out to individuals in the Wake Forest community for help addressing specific standards with information, data or documentation of Wake Forest’s processes and policies. Please help our SACSCOC report writers locate information if they reach out to you.
