Hannover Messe - we'll see you again! On Friday, we closed our IONOS booth at HANNOVER MESSE 2025, and we're already looking forward to coming back next year. Why? We'll let the numbers speak: 🔹Approx. 1,000 coffees were enjoyed at our booth ☕ Or, in other words: 1,000 amazing conversations around our European digitalization solutions were held over a good brew. 🔹 400 socks and 150 rubber ducks were won at our claw machine 🍀 Or, in other words: In the future, 400 people will not only work but also walk on the cloud. 🔹 Our favorite number: 18 sessions took place at our booth, covering all things AI, cloud, and great solutions from our partners embraceableAI, eXXcellent solutions and HCLSoftware. 💡 Or, in other words: We're proud of being able to share our knowledge with so many interested listeners at Hannover Messe! 🔹Uncountable important meetings took place at our booth. 🤝 One of them was with Ben Brake, Director General Digital and Data Policy at the German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport. He informed himself about the sticking points of digital sovereignty from the perspective of a major cloud player in Europe and discussed the facets of the digital supply chain. We'd like to take this opportunity to thank him again for his visit to our booth. Today, our CTO Markus Noga took the stage at the HANNOVER MESSE Industry 4.0 stage to discuss a crucial topic for Europe's digital future: "Towards a multi-vendor cloud for a sovereign digital Europe". The current geopolitical landscape highlights the urgent need for Europe to achieve digital sovereignty, protecting data from unauthorized access and ensuring business continuity. To achieve this, we must take immediate action: ✔️ We need to pool our resources at European level, following the example of successful initiatives like 8ra and SECA. ✔️ Public procurement needs to be used as a lever to strenghten sovereign European solutions. ✔️ We need sovereignty criteria in the planned EU Cloud Scheme (EUCS) to exclude the risk of unauthorized data access by third countries. ✔️ European companies need an innovation-friendly regulatory framework to stay competitive on the global stage. Markus Noga's keynote emphasized the importance of these crucial steps towards a sovereign digital Europe.
