The WATM supports a wide range of designs, controlling mechanisms, simulation techniques to perform the traffic transmission process. During this process, network congestion, cell delay, and traffic overload are one of the main issues that reduce the entre WATM performance. So, in this work, effective switching model with adopted multiple access control approach is used. The introduced method reduces the network traffic and minimizes the cell packet loss effectively. The discussed system implemented using simulation software such as “OPNET 10.5”, and the efficiency of the WATM system is evaluated with respective experimental results.

Due to the lack of survey data and the difficulty of taking terrestrial measurements as a result of the security situation the authors used only 5 points for the national network in Baghdad. The deflection of the vertical component component ξ in the north-south direction calculated as ξ=2.5”±0.001” and the prime vertical component η in the east-west direction calculated as η=5.23” ±1.5”. The results were obtained showing that it can calculate the deflection of the vertical at sufficient accuracy.

The contamination level of Uranium (235, 238, 234 ) , from different soil samples of the nuclear reactor surrounding areas has investigated and compared to the international standards of UNSCEAR 2000,. The results show that distribution indicates a relatively asymmetrical distribution tailing slightly towards higher concentration. However, the activity level of Uranium in the soil samples exhibits higher variability. U 235,234 concentration level exceed the permitted level by (75) times over the UNSCEAR (2000) regulation in spot near Ishtar village and many other uranium contamination inside Al Tuwaitha nuclear research center, location C and Ishtar village. The contaminated area above normal concentration of U sum in soil having about 65% from total contaminated area (0.87 km2) between (0.080.2) Bq/g, 23% between (0.2-0.4) Bq/g, 6% between (0.4-0.7) Bq/g, 5% be...

The earthquake was felt as far away as Turkey and Kuwait. Until that moment the Iraqi researchers did not focus on the hazardous of Earthquakes. This research provides national seismic contour maps of Iraq. The use of values on the maps as design coefficients, replacing site-specific studies, is not generally considered best practice. The values are intended to give a general indication of the expected hazard level. Three maps are provided, with return periods of 20 years, 10 years and ne year, whole showing the depth and magnitude. Values were computed over an area bounded by 29 o 39o N and 39o W 49o E. The computations were made for points distributed on a grid at approximately 15 km intervals in both directions, and this defines the spatial resolution of the maps.

They enable the simultaneous collection of large amounts of data for a variety of requirements. It is possible to calculate image orientation elements and triangular coordinates in phases as in Relative and Absolute image orientation. This study demonstrates the photogrammetric 3D reconstruction approach that performs on tablets and smartphones as well. Images are taken with smartphone cameras of iPhone 6 and then calibrated automatically using normal calibration model for photogrammetry and computer vision on a PC, depend on Agisoft Lens add-on that imbedded in Agisoft program, and MATLAB camera calibration Toolbox, and by using an oriented bunch of images of chessboard pattern for large point cloud-based picture using matching. The camera calibration results indicate that the calibration processing routines pass without any error, and the accuracy of estimated IOPs was convenient c...

In GPS network adjustment, the obtaining of the correct coordinates of the determined point is possible after determining the components of GPS vectors and aligning the networks of these vectors, while PPP requires the availability of precise products for the reference satellites orbits and clock. For that reason, surveyors can take advantage of free online GPS data processing. In this paper, the authors compare the results obtained from different sources of free online GPS data processing (AUSPOS, OPUS, CenterPoint RTX, APPS, MagicGNSS, CSRS-PPP, GAPS, and SCOUT) in terms of their accuracy, availability, and operation. This is then compared with free GPS processing software (gLAB and RTKLIB), and finally with commercial software (TBC Trimble Business Center). The results show that online processing services are more acc...

Survey of the study area was done to collect necessary data to assess the present state of the road network. The study infers that the Holy Governorate is connected to the neighboring Governorates but not with highways or railways or airways. So the journey time to the nearby capital cities is very long. Besides the condition and size of the current road network, this fact is a major disadvantage for the Holy Governorate. A connection to the railway system is very important for the Governorate. It would improve the public and goods transportation systems. for pilgrims and tourists. Railway and highway connections are basic (in a wider range). But they are not available. Furthermore, the location of the airport itself isn’t optimal. The airport is close to the city centers and is a restriction for the urban development. The noise and pollution affected the population and the environment. So, an urban development i...
