Trump reveals that Biden blames Democratic 2024 loss on Obama, Pelosi, but not Kamala Harris

President Donald Trump on Friday revealed that former President Joe Biden blames former President Barack Obama, and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for his party's losses in 2024, but not former Vice President Kamala Harris.
Trump defeated Harris in November after winning all seven swing states, surprising Democrats. The loss also occurred after Democratic leaders pressured Biden to drop his bid for reelection after a poor showing in the first presidential debate.
The president told The Spectator's Ben Domenech that the conversation took place at the White House last year, after Trump won the election.
"I asked him, I said, ‘So who do you blame?’ Because he was very angry, you know, he was a very angry guy, actually," Trump said. "And he said, ‘I blame Barack.’ And I never think of him as ‘Barack.’ You know, you always hear 'Obama.' You say, you have to think about that for a second. And he said, ‘and I also blame Nancy Pelosi.’
"I said, ‘What about the vice president?'" Trump continued. "He said, 'No, I don’t blame her,' which was interesting. He didn’t blame her ... He told me he blamed those two people."
The comment highlights the tension between Pelosi and the former president. Pelosi is considered one of the biggest reasons that Biden dropped his bid, after she expressed concern that he would tank the whole party if he remained in the race.
Pelosi has since blamed the former president for the electoral loss, hinting that Democrats could have won the election if he had dropped out sooner.
“Had the president gotten out sooner, there may have been other candidates in the race,” Pelosi said in an interview with The New York Times in November. “The anticipation was that, if the president were to step aside, that there would be an open primary. And because the president endorsed Kamala Harris immediately, that really made it almost impossible to have a primary at that time."
