This article analyzes the possibilities of application and development of ideas of sociology of everyday life by A. Schutz's to the study of the lifeworld of Ukrainian soldiers returning home from the ATO zone. In particular, attention is focused on his work «The Homecomer» (1945, Chicago), in which the problem of the house was considered in relation to the soldier, who had returned to his home, which appears to him not for what it was, what he was expecting to see. The key ideas and concepts of the sociology of everyday life, which can be included in the conceptual apparatus of the sociological study of the lifeworld of Ukrainian soldiers returning home from the ATO zone are considered. The possibility and prospects of studying problems of the soldier returning home at the intersection of sociology of conflict and sociology of everyday life are grounded. Special attention is paid to the fact that it is necessary to take into account the ratio of the lifeworld transformation and the image of conflict, as well as the situation of conflict of interpretations.
Keywords: Lifeworld, home, biographically determined situation, system of relevance, conflict, image of the conflict, «the homecomer» soldier.
The article analyzes the scientific discussion as a factor of the development of socio-humanitarian significance and its role in the creation of new ideas. Using as an example the polemic of V.Y. Propp and C. Levi-Strauss, the author demonstrates importance of the polemic for the development of the theoretical foundations of structuralism. Doing this analysis the sociological interpretation of key provisions of structuralism is done through appeal to ideas of F. Tennis, G. Simmel, T. Parsons and other sociologists, through the concepts which also deal with the problems of form and content, structure and function, and so forth. The discussion of V.Y. Propp and C. Levi-Strauss is considered as a model of scientific dialogue, the specificity of which is manifested in its publicity (due to the publication of polemical articles) and openness (due to ability to participate in the discussion of other scientists). Stresses that the analysis of polemical articles not only helps to better understand the different versions of a particular scientific field (in this case - structuralism), but also identifies possible causes of a false interpretation of theoretical concepts, misunderstanding and creates ways to solve this problem through argumentation, thereby contributing to the formation of culture of dialogue.
Keywords: structure, dialogue, form, content, structuralism, conflict, text, sociological interpretation, qualitative sociological researches.
The article is exploratory in nature and identifies issues related to the study of the everyday life-world IT-specialists, offering ways and means of its empirical measurement. First, it focuses on interpretation of the key concepts of phenomenological sociology, in particular, "the world of daily life" in the works of Alfred Schütz. Secondly, analyzed how these concepts are operationalized in the few studies available in phenomenology profession researches. Thirdly, the author presents the main results of approbation of indicators for measuring the life-world of IT-specialists (in the period from 2011 to 2015).
Key words: the world of daily life, the life-world of IT-specialists, phenomenological sociology, visual sociology, phenomenology of professions.
Deep problem-oriented interviews that were made focused on questions concerning meaningful events in history, domineering plots of oral history, acceptable ways of expressing and upholding conflict interests and other issues that made it possible to see the connection between the conflict of interpretations and contemporary social conflicts. Peculiarities of symbols and slogans of Euromaidan and Antimaidan in Kharkov during February–May, 2014 were analyzed to see the way they were perceived not only during protest actions but also at the level of everyday practices. This is done through identifying different symbols that are highlighted in the interviews by the informants in both their discussion of meaningful events in history and their characterization of the symbols and slogans that figure in contemporary social conflicts.
The paper also presents elements of the photo collection that was made in Kharkov from February to May, 2014. The analysis of the conflict potential of socio-cultural identities has been made in order to find ways to de-escalate conflict, possible variants of interpretation and transformation of meanings.
The paper is aimed at finding solidarizing fields and counteracting linguistic construction of conflicts through «construction of history». It is connected with a search for ways of uniting Ukraine’s citizens including those who represent different positions and opinions as well as a search for threads of unity on the value basis that contributes to the unity of Ukraine.
Keywords: linguistic and conflictologic approach, meaning, conflict, text, symbol,
socio-cultural identities, oral history, «construction of history», conflict potential
