Grzegorz Kinelski – Polish, 51, PhD of Economy, MBA, M.Sc.,Dipl.-eng. Master of Company Management, Electrical Engineer, Master of Project Management. He is the author of many scientific publications in the field of economics and management. He conducts didactic classes at the Wroclaw University of Economy and WSB University in the field of management sciences and economics.Professional 2017 CEO in PKP Energetyka. 2018 CEO in Energia dla Firm and Energetyczne Centrum S.A. 2016 started work in ECB S.A. as advisor of board, 2013-2016 has been working in ENEA, as vicepresident of board of capital group. In 2010 started work in TAURON as vicepresident of board Shared Service Company, 2006, started work as Head of Customer Services Division in Vattenfall Business Services Poland. Has 24 years experiences in energy branch, last six yaers for Polish Government Treasure Company. And ten years has been working for Vattenfall. Before for GZE (Upper Silesian Power Distribution Company n Gliwice Poland). Has experiences in managing of company and processes for sales energy and trading and customer relations. Has been working as member cross-border projects of implementation new solutions in this areas. Member od Polish Comitee of Energy (PKEE) and Society of Energy Trading (TOE). He was independent consultant of energy market and advisors for company, and advisor of board in Uppersiliesia Metropoly Office. Head of Energy Trading Department in Veolia Energia Polska, International Energy Company. Now is member of board Veolia Energy Contracting Poland.

The Cost of Using Gas as a Transition Fuel in the Transition to Low-Carbon Energy: The Case Study of Poland and Selected European Countries

The purpose of this article is to answer the question of whether it is economically justified to ... more The purpose of this article is to answer the question of whether it is economically justified to use natural gas as an interim fuel on the way to creating a low-emission energy sector from the perspective of Poland in comparison to other countries in the European Community. Despite the existence of numerous scientific studies concerning natural gas as a ‘bridge’ fuel, there is a lack of precise references to the situation of Poland in this respect, especially considering its specific situation in the historical development of energy, as well as the ongoing energy crisis caused by the Russia–Ukraine war. The study suggests that from Poland’s point of view, given the changes in natural gas prices resulting from a series of events of an international nature, gas investments are not economically justified in the economic climate (NPV of −891 million EUR) at present and will not be justified in the event of their anticipated changes (NPV of −691 million EUR), having its justification onl...

The development of the high-tech sector has so far been studied within the cities, leaving their ... more The development of the high-tech sector has so far been studied within the cities, leaving their functioning within the special economic zones in the context of metropolitan belonging unexplored. The main purpose of the article is to determine whether the economic zone has a positive impact on the economic development of cities, which in the context of this research, has been operationalized with the use of computer-aided systems. The authors purposefully choose a Metropolis GZM, Poland (GZM), and Katowice Special Economic Zone (KSEZ). The importance of the high-tech sector in the GZM depends on the development of business in the region. Innovative specializations of cities located in the KSEZ were examined from the point of view of their perception by users of these new technologies, i.e., city residents. The study aimed to determine how the public perceives the directions of decarbonization to develo... more The study aimed to determine how the public perceives the directions of decarbonization to develop a sustainable energy strategy for Poland. The political challenge is to use dedicated funds and grants to move from the energy market to low-carbon technology. For sustainable development, governments must implement an environmentally friendly, cost-effective, and socially acceptable policy. The risk of social acceptance plays a vital role in Poland, especially in Silesia, influencing the decarbonization process. The study’s main objective was to identify socio-economic features that affect the assessment of the decarbonization process in Poland, assuming that respondents used central or local funds to carry out this process. The authors deepened the multidisciplinary aspect of the analysis of decarbonization, mainly pointing to social issues, which was presented in the article.
