Welcome to Ladies That UX Bristol

We’re a friendly, open space for like-minded folks to share and learn about all things UX together. We exist to help champion women and underrepresented genders in user experience since 2014.

Whether you’re just starting out on your UX journey or you’ve been in the game for years, you’re welcome here. There’s no such thing as a ‘stupid’ question in our community – all questions are welcomed – as we’re here to help each other learn, grow and laugh.

What we stand for

We pride ourselves on being a safe, welcoming space, not just for women but other underrepresented genders. This absolutely includes – but is not limited to – cis women, trans women, trans men and non-binary folk.

Run with diversity at our heart and throughout our organising group, we welcome members from all races, ethnicities, religions and socioeconomic statuses with (virtual) open arms.

We’re as passionate about kindness, equity and inclusion as we are UX and have a zero tolerance policy on any hate or discrimination whatsoever.

Come, be you, do you. All we ask is that everyone respects the speakers we hear from, spaces we share and each other. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

What to expect from our meet-ups

Our meet-ups are a chance to network, learn, share stories, hear great speakers and have fun. We’ve had previous talks and workshops on:

  • content design
  • user research
  • how to be more green in our UX practices
  • cognitive bias
  • presenting skills and workshops
  • designing forms
  • design and ethics
  • service design and making it happen in a large organisation

As well as UX talk, you can expect fireside chats around mindfulness and developing your career.

Since the pandemic we’ve gone 100% online. This has made our events much more accessible for many. We hope to run a couple of face-to-face meetups in 2024 for those based in Bristol and surrounding areas.

Want to talk or ask us something?

We’d love to hear your thoughts! Whether you have a burning question, a topic you want to know more about or you’d like to give a talk in a safe space, just send us a message ladiesthatuxbristol@gmail.com and we’ll get back to you.
