This study delves into the impact of social networking sites on the psychological well-being of college students within the realm of emerging adulthood. Employing a survey methodology, data were gathered through Ryff's Psychological Well-being scale and Social Networking Sites scales, focusing on a sample size of 117 respondents within the emerging adulthood age group. Utilizing the Pearson Correlation method for analysis, the results find a noteworthy correlation between social networking sites and psychological wellbeing. Further exploration reveals that factors such as autonomy and cognitive need, environmental mastery and affective need, autonomy and personal integrative need, diversion and social integrative need, as well as social integrative need and affective need, are all significantly influenced. This suggests that social networking sites contribute positively to the psychological well-being of emerging adults, impacting areas such as autonomy, environmental mastery, personal growth, relationships, sense of purpose, and self-acceptance. This study sheds light on the positive perception of utilizing social networking sites, emphasizing the notion that the relationship between social networking sites and the well-being of emerging adults is a healthy one. It reinforces the idea that young adults are cognizant of both the advantages and drawbacks of engaging with social networking platforms.

While venturing through the narratives of the novel The Bronze Sword of Thengphakhiri Tehsildar (BST 2009) from an eco critical perspective, the study locates the ‘slow violence’ inflicted on mother nature which must be pacified immediately to placate the disturbed balance between mankind and nature. The novel takes the reader on a journey across Assam’s natural splendour, which is a sanctuary to a variety of birds and animals. Colonialism and imperialism have collaborated to benefit from Assam’s riches. Because man and ecosystem are inextricably linked, they require a collaborative effort involving the adoption of specific measures to restore the equilibrium. The Sikhs residing in Delhi were victimized, burnt alive, looted, stabbed, beheaded and raped. Anyone wearing a turban or holding a kirpan were mercilessly killed be it men, women or children. It also touches on the other forms of marginality like unemployment, prostitution, economic poverty etc. The narrator assumes the role of the protagonist running through the blood stained streets, sheltering the attacked victims and attending their first aid. Her own apartment is filled with blood as she gives refuge to the victims. The novel alarms the reader of the consequences of disunity giving a recalcitrant call for unity, love and wellbeing for our neighbors and friends. It also forges the readers to think on the sensitive issues of our social institutions ethically rather than falling as a victim in their grip.

But with the arrival of new philosophies and expeditions, both man and nature took their own path. Further with the advent of colonization, European civilization grew more and more anthropocentric. The article makes a study of a small poem "Buffalo Sacrifice" by Dr. Indira Goswami from an ecological perspective. She beautifully juxtaposes the vulnerability of nature in the cruel hands of the anthropocene. The study attempts to posit the relation that man and nature mutually share and sensitize mankind to rise up from their consumeristic gluttony and give nature another chance to live and not just "sustain". This article comes as a clarion call for mankind to awaken their humanitarian sensibility and embrace nature. As human behavior undergoes a refining process, the natural world is preserved through the germination of the humanitarian sensibility in man which will eventually make this world a happy and a better place to live in.

Man and nature protected and nurtured each other to safeguard and nourish mankind. The ecological and the cultural dominance the Whites had over the third world countries are referred to as 'Ecocolonization' of the natural world. The Man From Chinnamasta explores the issues of ecological malpractice and questions mankind on the issues related to rituals and devotion at the detriment of ecology. It also reveals the Whiteman's dominance over nature and the resources. The study focuses on the concept of the 'Other', the cruel strategies the whites employed to 'other' man power, poor peasants, ecology and the natural resources alike. The protagonist, the Jatadhari, holds a pragmatic opinion on the subject of sacrifice and offering. From an ecological perspective, the novel lends occasion to explore the bond that nature and this hermit shared. The clarion call to save ecology gives birth to a new canon which discards the centuries-old practice of butchering animals. His perspective towards offering acts as a catalyst that welcomes new modifications. The Jatadhari is bestowed with the sense of living in harmony with our ecosystem. The environmental crisis happening around us is a result of man's detachment from the natural world. The present study employs an Ecocritical approach that strives hard to bind the scholars and critics, to show the significance of nature to the human world. It is an investigation of the relationship between each other.

Entrepreneurship specifies the act of setting up a new trade or revitalizing a prevailing trade so as to take return from new opportunities. Entrepreneurship can be defined as crafting, developing and taking forward a new venture, which is colored by personal, financial and social risks. Today, women entrepreneurs are increasing in numbers. But it is also a matter of fact that women exit in entrepreneurship too. Assuming the dual roles women play in terms of business and managing home front; the present paper purports to understand the determinants of engagement in entrepreneurship by women, what determines entrepreneurial intention for women opportunity or necessity and what the motivation indicators for entrepreneurial performance are. It also focuses on vocabulary acquisition concerns, such as the general neglect of vocabulary education throughout the years, the value of acquiring many words, the need to understand diverse facets of these terms, and responsive and productive mastery. A heterogenous group of L2 learners who were admitted in I BA English at Lady Doak College were given a diagnostic test to assess their grammar, sentence structure and vocabulary. Based on the results of the test the learners were streamlined into two levels viz., Level A (Advanced) and Level B (Basic). To assure a better level of involvement, the heterogeneous group needed to be equipped to overcome their prior hesitation, fear, and poor motivation. The findings assisted the educators to adopt and implement different simple and innovative pedagogical strategies to help them improve their English vocabulary. Activities like oral presentations and reading tests came handy in the assessment process. Mobile Assisted Language Learning (MALL), Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL), Task Based Language Teaching (TBLT) were few strategies to mention. The focus of TBLT is on meaningful, all-encompassing language practice, where learners must use all four language skills-listening, reading, speaking, and writing-to complete a task. The results after implementation revealed that students not only improved their English vocabulary but also harboured interest in participating in all the Task Based activities using CALL method which is a major step towards language acquisition.

This chapter deals with how the educational board has made concerted efforts and measures to run the academic calendar in a completely virtual manner. There arises an urgent need to catechize, train, and equip teachers and students in familiarizing them with the information and communication technology (ICT) and its assorted tools that comes with all its intricacies and exploding potential, and this calls for special attention to provide expert tutelage in online teaching and learning to staff and students. There exists a common misconception that teaching skills, infrastructural facilities, competency of students, and the educational pedagogies needed for a physical classroom are all-sufficient to conduct online classes successfully. This misconception needs to be reconceptualized with the precise percipience of the fact that online tutelage is totally aloof from physical classroom teaching since the duo work at two different levels – physical world and virtual world which cannot be navigated using the same single route. Apart from the fundamental concerns, the discussion also deals with mental preparation, staff readiness, confidence to learn the new pedagogy, student accessibility, and motivation to embrace ICT-integrated learning. As online tutelage carries multidimensional aspects, it demands a separate array of knowledge and skill sets from teachers trained through experts, 160which will result in upskilling their teaching abilities. Familiarizing with the new online mode, getting the staff trained by professional ICT experts, and overcoming the emotional barrier is much focused in this study. All this invites unremitting challenges like poor network coverage, limited mobile data, incapacity to buy a new gadget, vulnerability to students and teachers on several health and mental issues it has faced in the speedy pursuit of completing their syllabus in a stipulated time frame. The study focuses on providing plausible solutions to mitigate the looming fear of online teaching and making it a common part of teaching instruction. To summarize, the teaching fraternity has a herculean task ahead to stabilize with the newly embraced norm and continue to disseminate information in a very new way, to be adroit with technology and hegemonize technology and not the other way round. Online teaching tools do provide a plethora of opportunities to be innovative, creative, productive, and resourceful.
