Pinar Tankır obtained her BA in Social Sciences at La Trobe University, in Melbourne, Australia. Having majored in Political Science and Sociology, she went on to obtain her Master of International Relations from La Trobe and completed a semester at the University of Oxford, St Antony's College where she undertook the subject Political Transformation in the Contemporary Middle East.
