I loved it. Some fantastic characters, great representation of the 80s, some absolutely iconic scenes and I really liked where the story led. Mia Goth of course amazing, and Giancarlo Esposito but I haven't seen him NOT absolutely kill a role yet, he might be one of my favourite actors in fact I am just having this realisation, and Kevin Bacon!!

I did feel like the climax of the movie was a little weak, I loved it, but it could…

Damn that was fun! I've wanted to watch Bullet Train since I caught the trailer and it just depicted this colourful, stylistic, action movie. And that is exactly what Bullet Train delivered! Every single actor in this thing is great, every shot is so good. It's beautiful, stylish, and just plain darn fun. Will definitely watch again, and I wanna get hold of a copy of the book some time, too.

What a sweet movie about the fear of aging - both in later years and your early twenties - and the joy of being alive.

Thelma is a spicy 92 year old woman who's just been scammed out of $10,000 and is done being coddled by her family and decides to do something about it, with all the tools in her kit.

It's fun. And it's got heart. And it touches on a lot of worries I have in my own life, and you all probably do as well. Loved it.

Mm I think I'll fallen off the Hooptober wagon pretty hard. Fell into a hyperfixation for The Witcher pretty hard and October's almost over and I don't feel much like bingeing what I have left. Still 18's pretty good!

As for The Innkeepers: it was alright. Basically a comedy horror for the first half of the movie and then goes into horror-horror for the last half. Felt a little whiplashy, to be honest. There was even American sitcom-esque "something silly…

    HOOPTOBER X
    Film: 25/34
Criteria: USA, 1980s, post-apocalyptic, something underground

So I was kinda sighing to myself about some of my remaining picks for Hooptober and decided I'd watched through the ones I needed for certain criteria and fibble around some of the other choices just to revitalise things a bit, you know? Anyway, Night of the Comet was my new pick for "post-apocalyptic/natural disaster" because after John Carpenter's Vampires, I just kinda liked the sound of a couple 80s…

    HOOPTOBER X
    Film: 12/34
Criteria: Decades (2010s), Countries (South Korea), Devil

Wow. What a movie. I have so many chills and feelings right now.

The Wailing follows a police officer and dedicated father and family man as he tries to unravel the mystery behind a series of shocking murders occurring in the village. But he is merely stumbling in the dark, and finds things are much stranger than they first appear.

I cannot tell you much about this film without…
