  Christopher Reeve.

  He was Superman, and then he was paralyzed. And for the next 9 years, he inspired so many people as he came to grips with his disability, and then fought relentlessly to push forward the research for those in a similar condition.

  The list of people who have been able to put a dent in the universe and change the trajectory of humanity is quite short. But Christopher and Dana Reeve did just that.
