Abstract

Verbs have always been the focus and occupy a position of difficulties in the field of linguistics and natural language processing, in China and abroad. Combined with Chinese word construction features, we suggest that studies of verbs should be conducted in a systematic manner, and attention should be paid to the interaction between verbs and related sentence patterns along with frame units. In view of this, this paper focuses on frame-verbs, and 142,142 chunk instances extracted from a 2 TB scale corpus. At the same time, based on HowNet noun ontology, we analyze the distribution of semantic categories in chunk instances. This work describes an empirical approach to the study of the interaction between verbs and chunks.
