The Influence of the Selection of the Parameters of a Statistical Model on the r-Process Yields of \({}^{\textbf{180{-}190}}\)Tb

Moscow University Physics Bulletin Aims and scope

Abstract

Theoretical cross sections of the neutron capture reaction on neutron-rich isotopes \({}^{180{-}190}\)Tb have been obtained using the TALYS statistical model with various methods of calculating nuclear masses and energy level densities. On the basis of these data, reaction rates at a temperature of \(1.2\) GK corresponding to the explosive evolution of a star have been computed. The obtained rates were used to calculate the astrophysical \(r\)-process using the SkyNet Modular Nuclear Reaction Network Library. Concentrations deviations of \(r\)-process products were computed for different parameters of the statistical model for calculating cross sections.
