Abstract
We propose a vertical Bell Lab’s space-time (VBLAST) coded MIMO transceiver scheme and its iterative (turbo) multiuser detection algorithm. Unlike other multiuser schemes, users in this scheme are distinguished by different chip-level interleavers. Consequently, the maximum number of available users increases a lot. The proposed multiuser detection algorithm is based on the turbo multiuser one, which is not only computationally efficient compared with the conventional optimal maximum likelihood decoder, but also achieves a probability of error performance being smaller than the traditional VBLAST schemes under the same operation conditions.
