Abstract

NSA (Non-Standalone) network plays a key role in 5G construction, which can accelerate the popularization of 5G and enable us to use 5G faster and with less investment. But the unique networking mode of NSA also brings some difficulties to the evaluation of wireless network quality. Currently, in the NSA networking mode with dual connectivity, the MR (Measurement Report) of LTE (Long Term Evolution) MCG (Master Cell group) and NR (New Radio) SCG (Secondary Cell group) are reported separately. There is no relevant information and data of the other party in the MR of the MN (Master Node) and SN (Secondary Node), and correlation analysis cannot be conducted. The NSA wireless network quality evaluation method proposed in this article can effectively solve this problem. Firstly, from the associated MR of NSA MN and SN by tracking the SN addition procedure in the trace data. Then, evaluate the necessity of MN configuration and the delineation of NR perception issues based on the statistical analysis of associated MR.
