#Git #Gitlab tips Problem: I have a file that I don't want to commit or lose, but when I try to checkout to another branch or pull changes, Git Bash tells me that I should commit them. Solution : 1- Stash your changes in the file: git stash push -- <file_path> 2- Switch to the other branch: git checkout <branch_name> or : git pull 3- Apply the changes from the stash: git stash apply This way, you can switch branches without committing the changes in the file, and then reapply them once you've switched to the desired branch.

Another post on pure code happiness from the Ballerina 🩰 framework (Git link here: https://lnkd.in/et2qDhPf). Suppose we have a queue of async (or slow) operations we want to execute in the background. Of course we do not want the browser to try and do all these things immediately or even at the same time, because that might cause unpleasant slowdowns but in the case of network requests also increase the risk of errors or timeouts. The solution is to build a prioritized, asynchronous queue. Which of course sounds daunting and terrible but actually thanks to Ballerina 🩰's coroutines is really easy: - repeat forever (Co.Repeat) - read the queue from the state (Co.GetState) - read the top N items from the queue - run them all in parallel (Co.All) - remove the items from the state by id (Co.SetState) That's it. Let me restate: a prioritized, asynchronous processing queue in about 15 lines of code. Fif-teen.
