At the moment, several experts from Netic and Contain by Netic are attending Kubernetes Community Days (KCD) Denmark in Copenhagen to stay abreast of the latest developments in the #CloudNative and #Kubernetes landscape. Now, day one has come to an end. It has been a very inspiring first day, and we’re eager to share our insights, learnings, and thoughts. Therefore, we have asked Jonas, a consultant in our Cloud Native team, to highlight the three key takeaways from the first day of the conference: 1️⃣ Effective Kubernetes management requires specialised tools. As Kubernetes complexity increases, tools like KSail become essential for managing clusters efficiently through GitOps and provisioning local environments for faster development. 2️⃣ Password rotation remains a challenge despite technological advancements. Organisations need to implement robust and innovative solutions to regularly rotate credentials and maintain security. 3️⃣ Security vulnerabilities can be hidden in unexpected places. Attacks can originate from seemingly harmless sources, like shared images or insecure DNS configurations. Proactive identification and mitigation of these vulnerabilities are crucial.
