🌶🌶🌶 Hot take… Old problem: if we put more devs on the project, we can deliver it sooner. Same thinking, new manifestation: we can hire more overseas devs for less total money to produce the same result as our US staff. Flaw in that thinking: product development is not an assembly line. Devs are not “interchangeable”. Software is as much an art as it is science. It’s a team sport. Have been brewing up abstractions on Langgraph(from LangChain)! What if there existed a nifty SDK, that allowed you to invoke any agentic design pattern? Why is it that I need to understand "Reflection", why is it that I need to understand "Hierarchical agents"? Possible to improve dev experience, improve the robustness of these agents, and not compromise on configurability? Spun up a quick Loom to braindump this, anyone thinking along these lines?

Another of my creations: DWorkSim, now in its 0.2 version. DWorkSim stands for Deterministic Workflow Simulator. It's a software created by me with my TextureMind Framework for testing image transmission in remoting protocols, like Microsoft Remote Desktop or AWS DCV. Frames are identified by the number in the top-left corner. Frames with the same number will have always the same pixels, even if they are generated in different moments, on different machines. Now with support for the GPU through Vulkan libraries and shader programs.

Its about solving the problem, not 'having AI' in the system. This is from last March, but the Wave 1 vs. Wave 2 distinction does seem to be playing out. Best trend I'm seeing at Notable re: #GenAI – yesterday's users/non-engineers are becoming tomorrow's builders. 🔨 The cost and skill required to build is dropping so rapidly, the need to write a spec is becoming obviated. The flow is the spec. Since Notable opened up our platform with Flow Builder, we've seen this accelerate even more. But you can't just be a wrapper on Anthropic/OpenAI. If that's all you are, you're dead 😵 Certain things really matter. If anyone wants to have a conversation about what those things have been for us, hit me up! Prometheus Interactive seems to be the kiss of death for good apps. I purchased DaTuner Pro a while ago, only to find that the new owners (Prometheus Interactive) have: * Ditched the Pro app (thus wasting my money), and * Introduced an insanely priced $22 / *week* subscription plan to eliminate ads, and * Added so many ads to the free version that it's essentially unusable. Just a heads-up to app developers who may be considering selling to Prometheus Interactive - they'll trash your app and alienate your userbase. If you care about any of that, find a better buyer.
