Celebrating 20 Years of Linux: Video contest

** Special Alert from The Linux Foundation Collaboration Summit **

The Linux Foundation today is announcing its annual Linux Foundation
Video Contest. The theme for this year's contest is dedicated to the
20th Anniversary of Linux, and Linus Torvalds will choose the winner
among community favorites.

In conjunction, we're also premiering today at the Collaboration
Summit The Linux Foundation's exclusive video, "The Story of Linux."
We hope this can help inspire video submissions from throughout the

More activities dedicated to the 20th Anniversary of Linux are planned
in the months ahead, the culmination of which will take place at
LinuxCon in Vancouver B.C. August 17-19, 2011. We invite you to join
in on these activities and to help us recognize this important
milestone.

- The Linux Foundation Video Booth. Designed like the photo booth at
the carnival, this Video Booth gives attendees at our events
throughout the year (including at this week's Collaboration Summit)the
opportunity to record their 20th Anniversary message to Linus and the

- The LinuxCon Gala, the official "party" to celebrate this year's
Linux milestone
- The Linux Training Scholarship Program
- Linux.com T-shirt Design Contest, focused on the 20th Anniversary of
  Linux
