Discussion
edit- I wonder if nickname (P1449) can be used for this.--5628785a (talk) 22:16, 29 May 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose we have lexemes that are better up to the job, a solution that uses "Monolingual text" is a bad idea. ChristianKl ❪✉❫ 19:17, 2 June 2024 (UTC)
- @ChristianKl: Would you support this property with the datatype lexeme? Could you give me an example of a similar existing property? --5628785a (talk) 22:17, 2 June 2024 (UTC)
- It's not clear to me that a property is needed. If we look at the main name of New York City we store it in New York (L43604). "The Big Apple" could be easily stored in a similar lexeme and have instance of (P31) antonomasia (Q607096). Maybe, there's also a different solution that's better, I don't work much with lexemes. - @ChristianKl: How would you link New York (Q1384) with the lexeme "The Big Apple"? --5628785a (talk) 14:54, 4 June 2024 (UTC)
- @ChristianKl: I made a proposal here to address this issue, that maybe you find interesting. --5628785a (talk) 13:54, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
