The current situation and technology of Malaysia Industry are discussed. The existing Malaysia import/export trades on Machinery and Equipment show the imbalance. Malaysia should make a step to overcome the situation. Reconfigurable Manufacturing System (RMS), together with its associated Reconfigurable Manufacturing Equipment (RME) and Reconfigurable Machine Tools (RMT) are investigated. From the modular nature of its components that provide the flexibility for the modules to be reconfigured, it makes the RMS and its associated components (RME and RMT) is suggested to be adopted by Malaysia MSls to improve the trade balance th~ough their increase capacity of production.

The runners were designed based on Ellis Model, a viscosity model of flow network consisting of elements and nodes. 4-coefficients viscosity model and temperature dependence Ellis Model were used in order to reduce the amount of computational analysis by FEA software. A Cross WLF viscosity model was used in the FEA analysis. FEA simulation of injection molding was conducted for 8 and 16 cavity runners. Runner layout was assumed as pressure at the end of each element acting as an initial and final boundary condition. The length and size of the runner can be adjusted to fit the boundary condition that had been chosen. Flow rates at each element leading to gates were set to simulate the desired pressure drop. The helicopter has carved a niche for itself as an efficient vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, but have limitation on its cruising speed due to restrictions of retreating blade stall and advancing blade compressibility on the rotor in edgewise flight. This is a challenging task, which might be solved by the use of new design approach. It is believed that the application of a compound helicopter design concept would assist in achieving such a task. Ever increasing interest in higher precision and miniaturization in manufacturing has led to new ... more Ever increasing interest in higher precision and miniaturization in manufacturing has led to new requirement in micromachining. Several critical issues involved in micromachining, expectedly different to the macro level machining, which is, hitherto, not properly established yet. Experiments in micro-turning of brass found that the most suitable cutting style is the reverse cutting style, producing comparatively-best surface roughness, better dimensional accuracy and reduced machining time. Other machining parameters do not really have significant effect on accuracy. However, spindle speed does have some affects, depending on the feed rate and cutting style. The best machining parameters for fabricating micro-pin was found to be 2500 rpm spindle speed, a feed rate of 20mm/min, with the depth of cut 0.20mm.

The N-250 TRD is development from its high speed predecessor, the N-250 civil version. Like its predecessor, the N-250 TRD is equipped with two 2,439 kW (3,271 shp) Rolls-Royce Allison AE 2100C turboprops, each driving a Dow-ty Rotol R384/6123-FX8 six-blade propeller. Its mission capabilities include: troops transport mission, paratroops dropping mission, cargo and LAPES (Low Altitude Parachute Extraction System).

Even when processing or cutting of thermally sensitive material, the laser cutting process has found to be reliable in loads of applications, with several advantages over other mechanical means of the same purpose, i.e. to produce successful cut off the work material. There are several works which have been conducted to resolve the interaction between laser and wood but an ultimate guideline to produce best cutting results are still undecided. This latest experiment was performed on low power carbon dioxide laser machine with 500 Watt maximum output. This paper discusses the prospective design of unconventional arrangement which will be applied for very light jet aircraft. The existing of a very light jet configurations is reviewed.
