Miles M. Jackson,Ph.D is Professor and Dean Emeritus, Information Studies and Library Science at University of Hawaii. He has spent most of his career in organization and administration of research in libraries and information systems. He is the author of eight books and over 50 articles in the fields of Library and information services. He was a Fulbright Professor at the University of Tehran, Iran in 1968/69, the recipient of Ford Foundation award for travel in East and West Africa, U.S. State Department Specialist in Pakistan and India, Asia Foundation Consultant to the Ministry of Education in Papua New Guinea and has received grants to support in research in ethnic studies.
